Although it does suck that Scott Walker is dead, and The Drift is one of my top 10 albums, I do find it kind of amusing that some people will see the news of his death and go and look up The Drift or something else from that era without knowing what they're in for.
On an unrelated note, I've been listening to a fuck tonne of Allan Holdsworth lately. Such an amazing musician, he was.

I don't understand the Slayer hate either. I think its something created around here, I have never in my life met a metal head who hates on Slayer. Might not be their thing, might make a few jokes poking fun at the obvious repetitive career choices, but never out right "They're garbage".
Everyone at least loves the classics, no?
I feel like the hate on Slayer is like the hate for Metallica.
Oh well, I'm seeing Slayer for the last time this summer in a sea of 50,000+ screaming, thrashing, insane motherfuckers, and they will put on a kick ass show as always.
