Soooo, Mike Portnoy is back with Dream Theater, and Mike Mangini is out. That came totally out of the blue. But I must say, this makes Dream Theater a lot more interesting for me.

Out of the blue is an understatement! I never thought it would happen. It was lovely to see them all reconnecting over the past couple of years, I always felt the worst thing about the split was the impact on all those decades of friendship. I figured they were good as they were with Mangini and all was rosy. So to read this was jaw dropping. I genuinely wanted to share the news with someone but none of my friends like DT  I'm very interested to hear new DT music and will definitely be seeing them live when they next come to Germany. CARPE DIEM! |

The new Green Day album is pretty cool. At first it was same old same old, but after a while a few of those songs just click and dig into your brain.
Highlights- Fancy Sauce, Dilemma, Strange Days are here to stay, One Eyed Bastard and American Dream is Killing Me.
Also, this week Judas Priest released a song called Crown of Horns. It instantly hooks you, sounds a bit like Ghost's Witch Image. Panic Attack is pretty awesome as well.

My friends' band Deathropy released their self-titled debut album yesterday. It's pretty cool stuff. Shades of old school Gothenburg melodeath, like In Flames, Dark Tranquillity etc. Check them out! |
