I will say, the concourses at the new Vikings stadium were a bit narrower then I was expecting for such a massive sports stadium. That and there was always a goddamn like for the bathrooms. There was like two bathrooms in that place.

I've been reading some of the comments about the show and I just want to comment on some of the things people are saying about kirk, james' voice, etc. This is more for those that might not have seen the band live before, but while I agree that they weren't perfect and some mistakes were pretty noticeable, live streams/videos absolutely do not do the band justice. I thought last nights show was incredible (I was on the rail slightly to the left side of the snake pit); the energy in the stadium was really high and I was having such a good time that james' voice or kirks accuracy was the last thing on my mind. Lars' kick felt like a sledgehammer to the chest the whole time, it was awesome. I guess the reason I'm saying this is that if a video or comments online might be putting you off from seeing the guys live, don't let them. Seeing them in person is unlike any other show I've been to, maybe with the exception of Maiden and Rush.

You don't notice any of the crap we were complaining about when you're actually there. They sound huge, perfectly on point and you always have a great time. Hetfield sounds like he's singing on the Black album. Lars' drumming is like ...and Justice For All, Kirk executes every solo perfectly, and Rob's backups are pronounced properly. There was a saying back in the St. Anger tour days, or maybe the DM tour days, and that was - if you don't want your memories of the show ruined, don't buy the LiveMetallica recording of the gig. The important thing is that people at the show enjoyed it, and it sounded awesome to them - that's who the band are playing for, and they never disappoint.

I've always been in the camp of 'it sounds better at the gig because that's what they focus on'. They;re not bothered about a recording of the gig - they (the crew and the band) want the gig to sound the best it can. Having said that it WAS a particularly bad night for Kirk, but that shouldn't (and won't) sully your memories. Glad you had an awesome time!
