Great track, I'm really excited for this album. It took me forever to get into DT, but after picking up Epicloud a few months back I've been hooked.

Meh. It felt pretty much like "Devin-by-numbers", not particularly inspired. Not bad, but not great. Almost equivalent to its name.

The solo is jizz worthy, for me at least. He still does his silly weird wanky thing, but damn it's a good solo otherwise.

Listening to this again, some of the tracks are standing out.
I reckon this album will be heavier than all of Devy's work since Decon.

Gets better with every listen, the riff is very simple and similar to Planet of The Apes, but the production does make all the difference, it sounds soooo goood. Really liking it now.

take a couple months off. don't burden yourself with trying to pay the wages of everyone who works with you, it's the nice thing to do but it's damaging your work which has been mediocre the last few years.

I'm more interested in that they are doing a date with a symphony, playing two sets including Ocean Machine in it's entirety. I sure hope that is being filmed. Unlike Opeth who did the same thing with Ghost Reveries and didn't.

Empath is an unbelievable album!
Most ambitious work I have ever heard from Devin Townsend and it is simply brilliant.
Every detail counts.
It is the perfect Devin Townsend album.

I never really listened to DT and am very unfamiliar with His(their?) Music. Just got added to a metal festival I'm going to this summer for an acoustic set(?) So I got some homework to do. Where do I start? Recommendations?
