I absolutely love the Popestar EP. Square Hammer is really great, Nocturnal Me and I Believe are good, Missionary Man is STELLAR and Bible is fantastic. Really eager to hear these songs live!
Papa and the Ghouls can do no wrong, apparently :)

I'm frustrated right now...I just can't figure out what the different versions of Popestar are. The Big Ghost set is...it's just out of the question 'cause the price is ridiculous, but the rest? I can't figure out if there is one or two more releases of it (vinyl that is), and I need to find out before they are sold out...

Bengans.se has a version which is 5000 copies while Hotstuff.se has a version that's apparently 3000 copies...and they actually do seem to have different article numbers, but it doesn't say anything on either site about the versions being exclusive or that they're in some different color or anything like that...so I just want to find out if they Are different releases (with different amount of copies released) or if they are the same. Edit: Discogs says that the version registered there (whichever that might be...) is limited to 3000 copies worldwide: www.discogs.com/Ghost-Popestar/release/9044810 |

So now I've listened to the EP. It was cool that Papa sang so much of it in a low octave. As I've said before I think Square hammer is great. When it comes to the covers I think I like Missionary man and I believe the most. Nocturnal me is and sounds cool in its arrangement but I just think the song is a bit boring (which goes for the original also) and Bible is great but not as good as the original which lets it down a little. I'm kinda annoyed about the chord they chose to go with as the second one when they sing the word Babylon in the chorus. Maybe I'm just used to the original but I do think the chord progression during that part in the original is better.

So after many listens I Believe and Bible are my favorite.
Square Hammer is good, Missionary Man is okay and Nocturnal Me is forgettable. Except for the drum part.

I hope someone will periscope any of the shows. That would be cool! I've seen a lot of Springsteen shows that way on his US tour these last few months, and it's been really fun to get to watch it live.
