Some extra tickets for Sabbath's shows in Brum have been released, so got one for the final show. Not the best seat but not overly fussed, it's going to be a special night.

playhoose i think!
i'll be travelling from forfar so we're talking £7 on buuuuus, depending on which day (i cannae mind, plus he's in perth so we'll probs go together) train could be up to £30 return... i'm tempted nonetheless, mind. if it's the sunday night we'll either have to drive or stay over: the fringe is finished that weekend iirc, so we can't fucking invade a restaurant and hang there all night (aw jeez i miss the summer of 2013 <3).
ach, we'll see! mogwai play plenty so if i miss it, i'll probs get another opportunity sometime soon! once the student loan comes in (the week after ffs D:) same pal and i will probs be in edinburgh/glasgow every other weekend so it's not the most pressing concern (for me).

edinburgh is about 80 miles? aye overall travelling time is about 90 mins. trainline is soooooooo good! get the right train and it's only £13 to and from edinburgh and glasgow still gotta get to dundee or arbroath to get the train, mind but w/e. if it's the sunday show, we're probs looking at..umm not cheap tickets! but aye, for future edinburgh/glasgow events/galivants we'll be sure to co-ordinate in advance/when barty westside has some change in his pocket!

Just got a ticket to Wacken 2017. Have always wanted to go so looks like next year'll be the year. Early line up announcement is promising, with Avantasia, Kreator, Sonata Arctica, Powerwolf, Paradise Lost, Mayhem and Amon Amarth already confirmed.

Got a ticket to see the Tomb Raider Suite in London in December. An orchestra is going to be playing extended versions of the music from the first three games. They've always been some of my favourite video game soundtracks, and the original main theme is my favourite VG music, so I'm looking forward to it.

going to a basement emo show on wednesday night because all of the clichés. asthenia, from japan (like the blink-182 song//also a cracking post-everything screamo/indie/black metal band from china), who are ace + two english bands i've never heard of. hopefully meeting a pal (same one w/ the free mogwai ticket (</3)) that night so we can take in a wee IPA in brewdog across the road beforehand and a wee IPA or eight afterwards.

Insomnium with Swallow the Sun in October and Katatonia in November. Pressure Points are not to be ignored either if you haven't seen them. Very good live band, and as a more prog oriented band they're a good fit for what Insomnium are going on tour with.

Considering Delain in Manc in November, and Epica/Powerwolf in London in February.
