Since everyone seems to be dying, I'm considering a day ticket to Stone Free Fest in June to see Alice Cooper in case he croaks it. Bit expensive though, £65 + a tenner in add ons and all that shit.

Stone Free Festival does look like a fun event though. Pondered it myself but doubt very much I can make it now.

Curious to see Apocalyptica and The Darkness should be fun. Happy enough with Alice though. Both he and some of his band members have talked about playing a load of songs that haven't been done for ages. It's gonna be awesome.

Aye, is one of the reasons I was gonna go, Apocalyptica and The Darkness - was supposed to see both last year and for reasons outwith my control, didn't get to see them :/ Alice is always good :) I noticed, way too late, there had been tickets to meet him. That woulda been cool.

Iron Maiden is my next show. Black Sabbath was the previous week and that was as good as I expected (saw them in 2013 so similar setlist minus songs from '13') Grabbed a couple of tickets yesterday to catch Jake Bugg in July - looking forward to that one.

Seen Ghost in 2013, was great, would like the chance to see them again now they are a little more 'seasoned' I've seen them about 5 or 6 times and they are always great. To be honest I'm only attending the gig because they are coming, I'm not really into Maiden but my friends are going. We'll have some beers and I'll get to see Ghost again, it's all good :)

Just got a ticket to see Less Than Jake in Manchester in October. It'll be my 5th time seeing them in under three years (all separate tours too). They were in Liverpool last week, great fun as usual.
Kreator have announced a European tour with Sepultura, Soilwork and Aborted for early next year. Boss line up. Definitely going to go to the Manchester date on 28th Feb, may go to the London one a few days later as well.

Was a great show, Sabbath still sound amazing live, even Ozzy. They are pulling out a heap of the early cuts like Hand of Doom

Got my Sabbath ticket this morning for the Manchester show at the end of January. Also got a ticket for Ron Block and Sierra Hull (who I've been wanting to see for ages) at the end of July. I'm considering a day ticket for Alcatraz Metal Fest in Belgium in August, with Avantasia, Kreator and Children of Bodom all playing on the same day. Will have to see how finances stack up though.
Current schedule shapes up as:
Alice Cooper (headlining Stone Free Fest) - June 18th The Offspring / Bad Religion - June 19th Ron Block / Sierra Hull - July 29th Less Than Jake - October 10th Black Sabbath - January 22nd Kreator / Sepultura / Soilwork - February 28th

Tickets for Sabbath go onsale for Dublin on Friday, my favourite band of all time and I haven't seen them so I have to go even though the prices are a bit of a rip.
My schedule is...
Blue Oyster Cult - July 28th Mastodon - August 15th Pentagram - October 10th Amon Amarth/Testament - November 2nd (Only really going for Testament but Amon Amarth seem like good beer drinking music) Entombed AD/Voivod - November 15th Meshuggah - January 18th Black Sabbath - January 20th Kreator/Sepultura - March 1st

The drones are pretty cool, have to say, and 360 degrees stage worked very well at O2 London

I saw Kamasi Washington last night. I was so tired leading up to it (long week, I always just want to go home on Fridays and relax on my couch) but I was so glad I went. I was with 2 friends from work and we were all tired but excited and we all had an absolute blast.
If anyone has a chance to see Kamasi play, do it. So groovy, funky and fun. Hella talented band too.

lordcatfish? How was stone free? Was sorry to miss it today. Wanted to catch the darkness and apocalyptica seeing as I missed them late last year due to a douche bag move. And ofc... Alice is always entertaining :D It was good. I missed Blackberry Smoke because they're shite and timed it so I'd miss them. They were apparently late coming on and had a short set. Apocalyptica were OK, not a band I'd go out of my way to see but they were quite entertaining. They played "Master of Puppets" and "Seek & Destroy" amongst some originals and a Sepultura cover (think it was a medley of "Inquisition Symphony" and "Beneath the Remains"). They overran by about ten minutes, so The Darkness had a shortened set (their changeover was quite lengthy too). They were quite good, I'm not too familiar with most of their material though. Justin is a bit of a tit, but entertaining as well. He had some amusing on stage banter. Alice was amazing. It was the first time I've seen him since 2009. Setlist was pretty standard with a few nice surprises ("Public Animal #9", "Long Way to Go"). "Halo of Flies" is one of the greatest live songs i've ever seen, absolutely stunning. Happy to see Ryan Roxie back in the fold, I like his chops. Nita Strauss is an exceptional player, watching her on stage And what can I say about Alice himself? A master showman. Hard to believe he's 68. He puts acts less than half his age to shame. His voice is still in good shape too. My only gripe is the cover section is still in the set, which seems like a waste now that the Hollywood Vampires are touring (which I have very little interest in, at least while they have so little original material). Chuck Garric does a commendable Lemmy impression though. With regards to the VIP/meet & greet, apparently Alice hadn't been notified about that when it was put up for sale and it didn't actually take place. Instead there was some sort of Q&A session with Alice the M&G people could attend. I have heard Alice stuck around to sign stuff afterwards. I'm not sure how well tickets sold either, I've heard about people getting in for as little as £2.50 to fill the place up. I've read around and seen a fair few complaints about the organisation of it all. Caught The Offspring and Bad Religion in Birmingham last night too. It paled in comparison to Alice the night before, but I still enjoyed it. The Offspring did almost the exact same setlist as they did last year, although they played "Mota" this time, which was a welcome addition as I love the Ixnay album. The venue was shite though and absolutely roasting. I saw Noodles and Dexter at Birmingham New Street station this morning. Had a brief word with Dexter and he also referenced how hot the venue was last night. All in all, a great two days.

Aye, Alice is indeed a true showman and a delight to see live. I saw those tickets for Alice Meet and Greet had sold out. Sucks then to have been one of those who paid for them. Least he gave his fans something :) Sounds like you had a real busy but fun couple days. Oh well, perhaps if they do it again will be better organised.

Tex Perkins the Aussie legend is doing another Johnny Cash show. This time he'll be doing the Folsom / San Quentin Prison sets at our old Gaol. Couldn't be a better venue for it.

Two things I never thought I could see with my own two eyes. Then Sabbath and Baroness in August. It's gonna be a good Summer for mwah. How bout y'all?
