One thing I want to share about Maiden and Bruce in particular... I'm 39, and already feeling really tired (a typical white collar life in a big city).
This guy ( these guys in his league) still continues to thrive. I wonder if I will be like that in 30 years. Anyone, that is in their later stages in life (or early for that matter) that is driven, focused, active and continues to be creative have a lot of respect from me.

I watched the Bruce Dickinson set from Hellfest on YT. I was well impressed, great show. Iron Maiden tmrw night for me Awesome that you saw Maiden! I'm so jealous. It's been almost 10 years for me since I last saw them. Actually for th first time, I thought of planning a euro trip to catch them on tour, if I can. Maybe these are the last opportunitie, who knows. Without any member, it won't be the same for me unlike Judas Priest. So how was the concert? Maiden show was great jorn. I've seen them a number of times now so the unusual setlist sat fine with me. Really enjoyed the new songs live. Writing on the Wall works way better live than expected. I like they incorporate Eddie a bit more into the show.... used to be an appearance near the shows end only now he comes out a few times. Has been over a week since the show and I am still reliving moments while sitting at work so gives you an idea of how much I enjoyed the night. I gave my son the floor ticket I had, and he feels the same way even though he knew only a few songs. Wasted Years is a great concert closer, you walk out on a real high

Just bought a ticket to King Diamond for November 2nd🎉 I'm going alone, can't count on anyone these days LoL. At least I know I'll have a fun time. I fucking love King Diamond since I was 10 years old and never got to see him. Last time he was here was 2019 and it was sold out before I could get a ticket. I was quite bummed about that. He's been on my bucket list as long as I can remember. Merciful Fate was here last year but it's not the same, for me at least, I never really got into them. But King Diamond...Next level Yay🥳

I recently bought tickets for Zeal & Ardor in April. I'm hopeful I'll be able to attend, but as my wife and I are expecting our first child to arrive in late December, I might have to withdraw from the gig if family matters dictate thusly.

Saw King Diamond last night, went alone and still had a blast. What a show. The opening acts, Night Demon and Overkill, were never my thing, but they were full of fire last night, both sounded very NWOBHM, every song sounded like Helpless, Hit the Lights or Lux Aterna to me lol. Was very fun live. King Diamond was so awesome. I was right up near the stage and saw everything great. The setlist for the most part was from his "Classic" albums which I've never been much for, but all those songs like Abigail, grandma, and Halloween were still fantastic live. I got a handful of songs from "The Eye" album which was my first love with the King, 3 of the new songs from the new album which will come out soon, and Voodoo. Sadly nothing from my favorite albums, (Puppet Master, Graveyard, Give me your soul, or House of God) but still a great show. I got all feely during his goodbye bows and thanks, I just remember being a little 10 year old thinking King was the most evil badass in metal, and now here I was 30 something years later watching this old man in his make up saying thank you to me (and everyone else). Scratch that one off the bucket list.

I watched Testament on Tuesday evening. They were on fire! But sadly the sound was terrible. On top of that it was too loud, too dirty. A lot of people suffered from partial hearing loss and this is the first time I'm seeing this. Something was wrong. The venue was a new one and many of us never seen a gig at this venue before.
Like I said, the band was amazing. Skolnick's playing is just so elegant. Legendary band.
For me the best thing was that they completely changed the setlist as this was the first gig of their new tour.

For the first time in ages I don't have a future gig lined up. Feels odd. I am however hoping The Cure announce one soon. Loving the new No.1 album.
