Glad you enjoyed the show BB thanks ford they are playing Adelaide last. Not a Killers fan sorry. Just glad you enjoyed what you were looking forward to rather than another McCartney-show disappointment (might have something to do with last years grand final, everytime I hear that Mr Brightside song I'm reminded of that Richmond flog Riewoldt)

tried to get some Biffy Clyro tickets at the Albert Hall, denied. Oh well, I will eventually see some band in that hall, never been.
Cannae believe! I am going to Reading festival and not Download - bf loves two of bands playing and I (foolishly?) got tickets as a surprise birthday gift. Suppose it will be...okay

Just bought tickets for Slayer/Lamb of God/Anthrax/Obituary in December in Helsinki. Never seen Anthrax before, and it's been a while since I've seen either Slayer or LoG. It's gonna be fun!

Pearl Jam on monday. Paid a fkn fortune for em too. Bf early bday present. enjoy the gig Engel I saw PJ live just over 15 years ago woah! that time flew by. it was a good gig but the stage was too small for the venue. I still enjoyed it. I loved hearing Daughter & Wishlist. this was for the 'Riot Act' tour. I stopped listening to them when the avocado album came out... I don't know why.

The compromise of love eh 😀 that's what people who love each other do. go to gigs that the other person wants to go to I actually bought the Celine Dion tickets as a birthday present for my brother, he's been a fan of her since the mid 90's. I thought it might be good for me to go as although I wouldn't call myself a "fan" I respect her as an artist. she has a phenomenal voice and shows up female "singers" of today like Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus for the crap they are. also I will get to hear The Boat Song

Well, past gig, saw Pain of Salvation last night, absolutely brilliant, they even played two songs from "One Hour..."
Haven't left a gig so sweaty and happy since Iron Maiden on the Somewhere Back in Time tour. Btw, apart from several local gigs, Iron Maiden is my next one, in July.

Welllllllllll!
BST Hyde Park festival organisers got everything right about having enough bars and servers and space and proper toolets for all..no portaloos how fucking ever...the viewing sections were pish poor. After hours in hot sun and teying to find shade..it was time to worm way in to crowd for the cure. Hmm noooo. Our primary entry ticket did not give access to premium viewing area..the area we were allowed in had most of the stage obstructed by two fucking towers called the garden for platinum vip folks. So we had tickets to see the cure at £80 a pop yet would have to be so far back from stage that we woild only see it on screen with a 7 second delay. I was very annoyed and upset. So we queued at upgrade ticket booths, for almost an hour. Yeah. We did it...100 quid more each to ipgrade to VIP viewing area. 360 quid all in just foe the tickets. Add on hotel for night, festival booze and food prices. Tube and taxis. Jfc!!! But I was 30 feet away from the cure in the end. They were amazing!!

I've got a few festivals/gigs coming up. Next weekend I'm going to the Ilosaarirock festival in Joensuu, Finland, where I'll check out Satyricon, Zeal & Ardor, Von Hertzen Brothers, Behemoth, Amorphis, Jack White and many others. Then the following Saturday I'm seeing Nightwish in Lahti, Finland, and then two weeks after that it's the Jurassic Rock festival in my hometown, with Raised Fist, Turbonegro, Vince Neil, Von Hertzen Brothers, Sonata Arctica, Lost Society and others.

Well that was an unexpected comment, but I'll take it Thanks for saying so LM. Its all a bit selfish though, I feel like I use this forum to destress a little from the weekly grind. I definitely enjoy the online company this place offers coz there are some great people here. All the music and Metallica chat is a nice bonus.
Sorry to hear you are having a bit of a shit time right now bud. Hope its not too much of a shitshow for you and something you can get back on top of. You know this place will let you vent or ponder life's crap, if you want to share anything. Sometimes things can get a bit crazy, make you feel like shit, and thrashing a favourite album at 11 is not really gonna fix it for you.
It may not be apparent on here, but I'm more a glass half empty type of personality, but I try a lot to turn that the other way and be a little more optimistic about things. And yeah, sometimes I really gotta try.
Hope your day gets better LM

I was upset. Tried to keep emotions in check but sometimes you gotta express the damn things. Fought back tears to no avail. A few escaped but not enough to make the eyeliner run. Enough of that..it was the cure. No way I was missing out.

In a couple weeks I'm taking my kids to their first big METAL festival. I'll probably dress them up like pirates since they are both really into Alestorm at the moment. Every day that goes by, the excitement gets a bit stronger.
Gonna see Alestorm, Baroness, Emperor, Rob Zombie, M. Manson, Black Dahlia Murder, Napalm Death, Between the Buried and Me, and a whole bunch of other bands. Should be a blast!
