I saw Ghost in Stockholm and Slowdive in Copenhagen this past weekend. They were both great and especially Slowdive (I should add though that it was my first time seeing them live so that probably affected my opinion too)! Next weekend I'm going to see The Jesus and Mary Chain. Managed to get a ticket from a friend for only 150 Swedish kronor, which is approximately $18/£14.

Alice Cooper... maybe? That's unforgivable. Ikr? I just need to see if I can go...timing. I want to go..that counts for something :p It's always difficult this time of year, seems loads of acts schedule their tours around October - December so you have to pick and choose. I'm doing two Alice shows as the appeal of seeing the original group minus Glen (RIP) is too alluring. W.A.S.P. is a maybe for me, however The Crimson Idol in full isn't something I'm overly interested in. Just done three Tori Amos gigs this week, the remainder of the year for me: Oct 28th - Metallica Nov 02nd - Cradle of Filth Nov 11th - Alice Cooper Nov 15th - Alice Cooper Nov 17th - Morbid Angel Dec 04th - Marilyn Manson

Crimson Idol is one I am looking forward too actually, seeing it in its entirety live appeals plus 2nd half of set is WASP classics. You can let me know about CoF gig as mine is week after :)

just bought tickets for Alice Cooper in a few weeks time - it had to be done Very nice! How was the recent W.A.S.P. gig? Morbid Angel have cancelled their forthcoming European dates, so I'll be seeing H.e.a.t instead on Nov 17th in Wolverhampton. Also got tickets for Sepultura in Sheffield next year (no north west dates, so a weekend in Yorkshire beckons) and hopefully will get tickets for First Aid Kit in February when they go on sale this coming week.

Check you out, already on to next years dates. I have four left to see out the year. Nothing lined up for next as yet.
W.A.S.P. was freaking amazing - was really quite the pleasure to be present at the performance of The Crimson Idol. There was a new video playing throughout in background too. Blackie spoke to the audience and was genuinely thankful for the audience paying attention to the video they had spent half a million bucks on. He then went on to speak of a gig earlier in UK (would not name the town/city) and said that he was so blown away by the low intelligence of the crowd and their moshing during ballads and on phones etc, he said he thought he had entered some hill billy twilight zone and considered walking off hahah.
Then.. he teases crowd with intro of Wild Child (they have not played it on this tour) and some girl shouts, nah, they are not playing this song. He mimics her, and grins at audience, says, oh yeah, I am gonna play this song... cue crowd going nuts! hahah. I think it was his thank you to us for being such an appreciative crowd :)
Do let me know about the Cradle of Filth later in the week. I see them on 10th

Do let me know about the Cradle of Filth later in the week. I see them on 10th Pretty good show from the Filth last night. There were some sound issues (keys too low, some of the melodic guitar lines getting lost in the instrumental onslaught) but on the whole I enjoyed it a lot (as I'm sure you will too). I won't post setlist spoilers of course (unless you really want to know, but it's not exactly hard to find it on the Internet). Testament, Annihilator and Vader tickets on sale today, likely I'll be heading to that in March next year.

Great fucking gig aye 😀 How many times have you seen them? I've only seen them twice (2015 and 2017) but yeah, this year was better (despite me not being overly keen on the new album). What did you think of the setlist? I see it was the same for our shows (except you got an extra song, "From the Cradle to Enslave"). Alice Cooper was phenomenal last night BTW. He just doesn't know how to put on a bad show. Possibly the best live act out there right now.

There was a brand new festival called The Rock Fest in Finland last summer, with Rammstein as the main act, and it was absolutely one of the best gigs I've ever seen.
Next summer, The Rock Fest has Ozzy, Judas Priest and Marilyn Manson as the main acts (one main act still TBA), and with bands like Amorphis, Children of Bodom and Von Hertzen Brothers supporting. I think that's a date!

I too am not a huge fan of new album, as a whole it is growing on me but still no stand out songs or even song for me. Shame. Excited for Thursday and Alice, so glad I got tickets now. Next time Maiden come to London, i'm fkn there. Pretty sure I got email today to tell me tour summer 2018, presale next Thursday :)
