I have been studying the album quite a bit past 24 hours and whilst Puppe still remains my 2nd least favourite (only Daimant is worse) I at least now get the meaning and the why of that awful vocal - I just do not like it, but that is me. Music is for all - MIFAD ;) I do love the majority of the album - definitely a grower. I wonder if this will come to UK for Milton Keynes gig truck.rammstein.de/de/Hi 😘 What Milton Keynes gig? |

It's a good album. Tattoo is definitely my favorite, love that old school riffing, reminds me of Herzeleid. The album definitely needs more listening, but as of now, I'm liking it.

If you ordered as a forum member, the discount didn't make up for postage cost (10 euros) plus on forum says high volume of orders therefore delays. I finally have a copy of the new album.
My review song by song after 2 listens:
Deutchland: has this Liebe ist für alle da vibe. It has the epicness of Rammlied which is awesome.
Radio: the fun song kind of like America which is awesome.
Zeig dich: has this Herzeleid (album) vibe which is awesome.
Ausländer: fun song that doesn't really remind me of an old song which is awesome.
Sex: has a Mutter (album) vibe and reminds me a bit of the heavy Rein Raus which is awesome.
Puppe: filler like Wiener Blut which is kind of awesome.
Was Ich Liebe: has a Rosenrot (album) vibe. Mellow with a heavier chorus which is awesome.
Diamant: has a Reise Reise (album) vibe. Reminds me of Ohne Dich. Beautiful ballad which is awesome.
Weit Weg: has a Rosenrot (album) vibe. Mellow with a heavier chorus which is kind of awesome.
Tattoo: has a Sehnsucht (album) vibe. Has a heavy riff like Du Hast which is awesome.
Hallomann: has a Rosenrot (album) vibe. Mellow with a heavier chorus which is awesome.

So after extensive listening: it is a good album if you like it 'different'. It is not my favourite (by far). It has too much slower songs. My favorite is still Mutter.

I mean after a decade without new music, I expected something different.
I know they kind of lost interest in their 'old' style. this is not news.
But I still expected to hear more aggressive tunes in this record.
The subject matters of the songs are still very Rammstein, very eerie and dark stuff.
I think along with Deutschland, Puppe is my favourite tune from this album.

If you have only listened a few times it is a grower for sure. I went from meh? on 1st listen to fkn obsessed now.It is an amazing album! Agree on Puppe Awake.
My other half not a fan. Took him to his 1st live show in Berlin last weekend. He is obsessed. Fan boying over Richard and Paul landers equipment (not a euphemism!) AND cant stop listening to em.
I knew a live show would change him.
Milton Keynes next weekend and I have my presale code and link for 2020 shows!!!! Berlin next July!!!!!!

So I have the album 28 days now and I'm already getting tired of it  I was really excited for new Rammstein after a decade but I'm rather dissappointed. Not because it's different but because it is short and has a lot of filler. I expected more after ten years. The three songs released so far are awesome and fun. Zeig dich and Diamant are pretty awesome (but could have been longer). Hallomann is really good too (but the ending is a mess). Tattoo is good but the lyrics lack something. So all in all: three awesome songs, four songs that aren't finished and four filler songs. I expected a lot better from Rammstein after ten years. Besides the album is way too short and has no bonus tracks. I'd rank it pretty low in the Rammstein catalogue. Probably: Mutter Liebe ist für alle da Sehnsucht/Herzeleid Reise, Reise/Rosenrot Newest one Don't get me wrong, It is still good. It is Rammstein and Rammstein doesn't have bad albums. But ten years for this?  This is my opinion. |

Traditionally Rammstein albums have 11 tracks. New album no different.
They performed all but 2 of new album live and every somg was well received and sung by crowd.
I think a lot of the grumpy old men who had same opinion as you are changing their minds now.
not that I am saying you are a grumpy old man Awake! But maybe your opinion will change again 😘

My opinion changes with every listen  But my opinion about it being too short will never change. Liebe ist für alle da has five bonustracks. Even Tills sideproject had one. The only differnce between special edition and standard edition is the packaging and pictures. WTF? |
