Any news on a possible new album? Not much, they are working though "During an interview with Kaaos TV conducted on July 2, Flake was asked about "Ramm 4", the new song introduced by Rammstein on their current festivals tour. He explained: We wanted to show the world that we are still together and that we are playing and making new music. Christian Lorenz was also asked about the progress of the songwriting sessions for Rammstein's next album. We have started to compile ideas for songs and develop them as a band. It is difficult to say how far along we are, because a lot of the time everything seems to be going well, and then there are days when we just want to start the whole process all over again. That is why there is no objective view about how far we are." |

This is kinda Rammstein related.
The Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE turns 90 years old this year. They've had multiple celebration concerts, and one of them was yesterday with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra featuring Apocalyptica and world-renowned operatic soprano Karita Mattila. They performed several songs, including a stellar, stunning, spectacular version of Rammstein's Seemann (which Apocalyptica has covered earlier with Nina Hagen on vocals). Observe.
I am not ashamed to say that I cried the whole song through. It touched me very, very deeply.

I really dig R+, love their live shows. But they are slowly becoming Kiss in terms of merch tho.. bikes and whatnots and 600 euro for some smoking dolls... lol
Just write a damn album. 8 years is a long time. Screw DVDs and best of(s).. you know what the people want.

I did forgot about the Lindemann project which was fun.
As for the album, knowing Rammstein and how they work, i don't think it will be released before 2018. If they aren't satisfied for it to hold the R+ moniker then they'll probably delay it. Which is a good thing since they are always releasing quality albums. But it will be close to a decade after LIFAD (fuck, has it been that long?)...

yeah, it will be close to a decade but to be fair they gave us the MiG tour right on the back of LIFAD tour and that kept us going for almost 3 years opportunity to catch them live - if one is prepared to travel, which I am. They did many of the festivals this year and Waldebuhne, Berlin was out of this fucking world in July. I can wait a little big longer for the new album after that show (no choice heh)
But I agree, not one album of theirs that sucks although LIFAD is perhaps not the strongest. And perhaps new album will mean a tour with another MiG like tour thrown on the back of it for 25th anniversary??? I can dream :D

Yeah they'll eventually shift in gear and get it done. As for the upcoming tour i hope they change the setlist a bit. It's was nice to see Zerstoren, Halleluja and Reise Reise. Hope they throw in Adios or more of Rosenrot material for a change.

Brought back a lot of memories from the show I attended. By far the best looking live show I have ever seen. There were a few problems but otherwise it was great :) |
