Such a great fucking album. Relentlessly brutal on a sonic and musical level. However, there are a lot of hauntingly beautiful melodies and vocal harmonies courtesy of Layne and Jerry, and the lyrics are so sad and tragic knowing Layne's ultimate fate.
RIP, Layne Staley and Mike Starr.

I've been listening to this album for the last two weeks, so damn good and it never gets old. Timeless album.

Quality, quality album. Never gets old and still sounds relevant today as it did back in the day.

Dirt is just great, Jar of Flies and MTV Unplugged are also so deeply embedded in me. I wish I could have seen them live once upon a time. I grew up on Dirt and remember when that was some new shit. And when I was 8 or 9, I had an AIC poster on my wall even though at the time I never heard any of their music, they just looked cool with the nose chain thing and it was free in some rock magazine I lifted from somewhere.
