As I feared..our manager snubs in-form midfielders Adrien and Renato Sanches to give starting berths to Gomes and Moutinho who had dismal club seasons..and ignores the Sporting CP midfield spine (William, Adrien, João Mário)..if you go back one season it was actually Rui Patrício, Cédric, William, Adrien, João Mário and Nani all starters for Sporting, so ignoring routine at a tournament like this is nonsensical.
Well done Iceland and Hungary.

France being second time lucky! feels like WC2006 they reached final beating shit teams and being lucky. they don't play aggressive or entertaining , no soul as host and it's just a pain to watch overall.

Finally some good playing by Belgium, but we shouldn't forget it's not the strongest opponent.
Of course this country knows jack shit about football, after the Italy loss everyone was screaming go home already, now after the Ireland win, we're winning the Cup. It's ridiculous.

Enjoying Spain vs Croatia. Always impressed with the remarkable ease at which Spain keep possession, even though we've seen it countless times before. Croatia a bit frustrating going forward, thankfully they got the goal that should make the second half more interesting.

Is there a reason Ramos took the penalty this evening? Is he generally good at them? Glad he missed though, the tit. Even funnier that the keeper was so far off his line he was almost on the edge of the six yard box. Hoping Italy put Spain out next week.

monday could be potentially great (italy knocking out spain, iceland knocking out england) or potentially disasterous (the opposite of that) for me.
i suspect that it'll likely be somewhere down the middle but which way i honestly do not know.
