I hope Belgium plays well, our defense is seriously lacking thanks to a bunch of injuries, but I hope we at least get to the quarter finals. Then it's probably against Germany, and a one way ticket home.

Italy is always my team b/c my family gave me no choice as a youngster and indoctrinated me. Well wishes also to Norn Iron and Iceland because near enough like Scotland to want to wish them to succeed.
but eh, struggling to see past France or Germany tbh.

Claiming they didn't do anything... I guess throwing bottles of beer at the local Rozzers is classified as nothing to these bottom feeding chavs. When you watch the footage and many of them are well past 40, you have to wonder if we still share the earth with neanderthals. I apologise for this to all my European chums here. So very shameful. |

It's the football (or soccer for 'Muricans) European Championship tournament. I'm always rooting for the Netherlands and England, and since the Dutch failed to qualify for the tournament, it's England all the way - with sympathy to Belgium, Wales and Iceland. |

Sad to see Netherlands is not in this even though they are not the same team they are known for and used to be! a popular scottish football radio show posited that us and the netherlands play a 2-3 game friendly tournament* over the summer to compensate for our lack of attendance in the other tournament. *i think they suggested calling it the "johann cruyff trophy" and have it as an occasioanl tournament like japan's kirin cup (incidentally 2006 being the last time scotland played competition football in summer plus it's something we won!). could've been a nice wee distraction. |
