From their Facebook page:
I loved their last album and this sounds like a cool concept. Anyone else looking forward to it?

Nice. They're always a solid band. The last album I found a bit hit and miss, but it had some stellar tracks. The title track and "Black Heart Rebellion" especially.

So it's out (and full files of it on YouTube).
I pre-ordered it because Amazon had it for dirt cheap and it came with extra stuff. I'll be getting mine tomorrow but am listening to it now and it's not bad. I go on and off this band but right now this is pretty rad.

The album is fucking phenomenal. I got the story/art book with it too and its great, a very good quality item. For just being one song it doesn't feel like 40 minutes have gone by when I listen to it. That, to me, is the mark of a great album. Shadow was my favorite album from them previously, but this easily tops it imo.

went through this today and it's really, really good. Totally doesn't feel like 40 minutes and it definitely is the type of Insomnium that I like. Must better than their last (which only had some awesome moments for me but was weak on the whole).

Fantastic album. Their best work in my opinion. Can't wait to see them live in two weeks.

This album, folks...seriously is the best metal album for 2016 as far as I'm concerned. not Opeth, not Devin, not Evergrey, not Megadeth, not Fates Warning...nor the others. This is the album that surprised me alot. And this is album that I keep coming back to.
Such a brilliant work of art. And I'm not an Insomnium fan at all.
I really hope it stays this way. As of today, 2016's best album for me is Insomnium - Winter's Gate.

It doesn't feel like 40 minutes at all. Flows perfectly.

I don't think it's my favourite from the year but it will probably be in my Top 5. Probably.

The live show was great, they opened with Winter's Gate. It really kicked ass live, especially the ending, that was focking intense. They also played one of my favourite songs, Drawn to Black. 'Twas a good night.

Lucky bastard, they better bring the tour to the US next year. I still can't get enough of Winter's Gate, I've been listening to it once or twice a day almost every day since it released.
