What your favourite album is will tell us where your roots in music really fall. So which is your favourite Album of all time, if you are truthful to yourself the answer might even surprise you. So don't choose say TBA and assume it's that if you haven't listened to it in weeks, months or years. What's that album you just never get bored of? For me

Can I be that guy? I'm going to be that guy. The GOAT piece of music is John Coltrane's A Love Supreme ("God tier", as ender put it). That transcends the album format, for me, it's just 40 minutes of majesty and devotion (on a handy compact disk). So we'll move on from there. There are, of course, many, many, many, many records that could go here: WITTR's Black Cascade ( Diadem of 12 Stars has *just* been usurped); Modern Vampires of the City; Let it Be (The Replacements, obvs, c'mon lads); both s/t Velvet Underground albums; Heartbreaker, Chelsea Girl, to name but a few. What I shall pick is an album that, as well as giving me a grounding to which explore musical genres when I was a teen (notably jazz and post-hardcore) and, for me, representing a gold standard for a rock music record (it's absolutely incredible) also has influenced my wider aesthetic and world values, through its references and focus potentially my future profession (certainly my education), and, perhaps most importantly, my fashion sensibilities... la beauté est dan la rue

Troublegum by Therapy?
100%
Every single time I play it - it sounds as fresh today as it did 22 years ago.
And yes of course I bought the 20th anniversary triple disc deluxe digipack version.

It's difficult to separate them really, but if I had to, I'd probably say: World Coming Down Dead Again Bloody Kisses = October Rust Life Is Killing Me Slow, Deep and Hard

I have pondered over this question for over a week. I cannot pick a favourite album. Favourite albums? sure. But to choose one... impossible for me. Many albums have a special place in my life history and I still listen to all, often.

Metallica - Death Magnetic Megadeth - United Abominations Red Hot Chili Peppers - One Hot Minute
I have very unpopular opinions and I'm proud.

Ok, still been pondering this. If I am truthful.. It has to be anything by The Cure from conception up to Disintegration. I can't choose one of those albums cuz I adore them all and always listen to them, for decades now.
BUT
It doesn't mean they satiate my rock craving, and I have to fulfill that need too.
So, I am no closer to answering this bloody question! *shakes fist at Alan, you menace!*
