I have a facebook friend (of metbb origin) who is normally fairly sensible but has been posting to the effect that the gorilla was "murdered" while gently holding hands with and protecting the child - this supported by a video which has been obviously edited to cut out the part where the animal dragged the boy by one arm, through the water, along the concrete floor of the enclosure. I know it looked violent, but that is just the way gorillas move. The gorilla also seemed to be startled by all the screaming people surrounding his enclosure and that is what caused him to move in that abrupt manner, dragging the kid along with him. He did seem to be trying to protect the kid, or at least not harm him. If he wanted to hurt the kid he could have done so at any moment, instead he seemed to gently assist the kid and was just very curious, APART from when stupid loud humans spooked him. There have been numerous other examples of kids falling into gorilla enclosures and not being attacked. In one such incident, the kid fell unconscious after falling into the concrete enclosure and the gorilla actually stroked the kid gently and looked after them until help arrived. All animals have different temperaments and personalities so I know it's dangerous to assume what one animal will do based on what other animals of the same species have done in similar situations, but it's just something to think about.

I love my son dearly however, he is often more bonkers than me. He texts me earlier this evening.. 2nd day of June. 'Mum, what can I dress as for Halloween this year?' After pointing out it is only June, he says, aye, but stuff is cheaper at this time of year (pretty sure training to be an accountant was a wise move on his part)
He wanted to top his costume of last year - which was pretty fucking impressive - as Jigsaws creepy puppet that cycles on a bike.. so I offer him... Michael Myers, Jason, Freddy. He replies, hmm, was looking at them but nobody ma age will know who they are.
BUUUURRRNNNN!!!
The boy is on his own now ;)

That gorilla's careful gentle behaviour could have easily have killed or injured that kid badly. They way he was pulled thru that water was scary. So even while protecting him he was absolutely in danger

Love my daughter.
I see the normal idiots popping in to go out of their way to say they hate kids, don't want kids, feel bad for those with kids.
See how no one really gives a fuck about their opinions.
Lots of cute stories.
Don't give a fuck about that gorilla.
Sums up my view on everything in this topic thus far.

You obviously do because you're talking about their opinions. I think it really gets you STIRRED UP Logan! Settle down, they're just opinions Logan. No need to get your KNICKERS in a KNOT. Take a CHILL PILL! Btw I fucking hate kids!

My daughter has a Doc McStuffins kit, including stethoscope. Yesterday evening she wrapped it around her hips and shouted "look how big my penis is mammy, daddy!"
Proud daddy moment right there.

I feel your Fibbleish, I can't stand Doc McStuffins. The whole stethoscope penis thing, haha, the things they say sometimes. My boy has picked flowers, then went up to some hot chick, handed them the flower and with pride looks them in the eye and says "You're a pretty lady, you have a vagina!" Ha!
Lately he's been saying a lot of creepy serial killer type things. Freaks the shit out of my wife, I just laugh and tell her that's how boys think. Blood, plots to go murder the old lady down the street and send her to Heaven, stuff like that. Oh well, boys will be boys.
