I've tried five or six times to really get into SFSGSW. Just can't. All the songs are pretty shit. The production is also awful, i also don't like Killing is my Business.

KIMB and SFSGSW would be classics if they didn't have shitty production and the cover songs.

From my admittedly limited delve into Megadeth's back catalogue, the only album I like is Youthanasia...........which I heard is their equivalent of the Load era.
I thought I knew it all / Blood of heroes / Addicted to chaos = good tracks

Was listening to Dread and the Fugitive Mind today, what a great song and solo, shame World Needs a Hero is one of their worst albums.

Was listening to Dread and the Fugitive Mind today, what a great song and solo, shame World Needs a Hero is one of their worst albums. I like that album and wouldn't rank it among their worst at all. On the previous page I ranked it 12th but it should be a lot higher. To me it is right up there with 13 and Endgame. Like this: 1. Youthanasia 2. Countdown yo extinction 3. Cryptic Writings 4. The System Has Failed 5. Dystopia 6. United Abomminations 7. Endgame 8. Thirteen 9. The world needs a hero 10. Risk 11. Peace sells 12. So Far 13. Rust in peace 14. Killing is my business and business is good. 15. Super collider I'm not much of a trasher and prefer the newer Megadeth. So sue me.

"Countdown yo extinction" Yeah, that's the hip-hop version. The original is not very good.

"Countdown yo extinction" He's a Megadeth expert y'all, where Dystopia is better than Rust in Peace.

Not sure if Dave invented thrash but i suppose he was part of the creation of the genre. The guy's ego is huge but maybe he deserves more credit for his style being incorporated into Metallica and the influence of Megadeth in the movement.

Really don't think he comes over well in the HOF article, but I suppose that is him.
His personality aside I am a fan of most of his work, Youthanasia being my favourite 'Deth album, closely followed by Countdown to Extinction & Rust in Peace. Think both Peace Sells & SFSGSW have amazing songs on them, but also some filler and besieged by production that isn’t quite up to standard. After that I think there are some highlights on Cryptic, and even on Risk, Breadline in particular I think is a great song. But since they returned with System has Failed and thereafter I find all the albums very samey, and none of the tracks particularly memorable, albums just seem to blend together for me.

North American dates just announced. 250$ for two tickets to see Megadeth and the Scorpions... Yeah, I don't think so. I've always wanted to see them live, but no way at that price.
