I hated and continue to hate Supercollider, Dystopia is alright. Fatal Illusion is my favourite off the album, Conquer or Die is a close second.
there really isn't much from Megadeth that I don't like, but Supercollider was just bad

Supercollider is better than Dystopia, World Needs a Hero and Risk are still their worst albums.

Supercollider is better than Dystopia, World Needs a Hero and Risk are still their worst albums. Super collider has ONE listenable track (Burn)
TWNAH has (Disconnect, When, Burning Bridges, Promises) Risk has (Breadline, Insomnia, Prince of Darkness, Time: the end, Seven) Dystopia has (Fatal Illusion, Conquer or Die, Poisonous Shadows, The Threat is Real, Foreign Policy, Death From Within)
Clearly, SC fails in comparison to Megadeth's supposed worst albums.

Right! Megadeth albums ranked.
1. Countdown To Extinction 2. Cryptic Writings 3. Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? 4. Youthanasia 5. United Abominations 6. The System Has Failed 7. Rust In Peace 8. Endgame 9. Dystopia 10. Th1rt3en 11. Risk 12. The World Needs A Hero 13. Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! 14. So Far, So Good... So What! 15. Super Collider
The Top 6 are in a class of their own. Every album from #7 to #13 is really good, and could basically be in any order. I've never been a big fan of SFSGSW, but it sure is better than Super Collider, which again is in a class of its own.
And yes, I really like Risk. Again, nostalgia plays a big part in this, as it was the first Megadeth album I bought. But even though the dry, thin, radio-friendly production is pretty horrible, there are some really good songs on that album.

Damn, if you didn't have SFSGSW up so high, I'd be able to pretty much agree with that list!

Damn, if you didn't have SFSGSW up so high, I'd be able to pretty much agree with that list! I never knew why people don't like SFSGSW. It has In My Darkest Hour, Set The World On Fire, Mary Jane, Liar, Hook In Mouth and Anarchy In The U.K. I don't care for the instrumental though.

Can we have Marty Friedman come on back to the 'Deth? He is easily their best guitarist, alot of melody and soul in his compositions. Tornado of Souls and Trust are my fave solos.

Marty took his leave to Japan some years ago and makes music there. Apparently he's quite happy there. I wonder if he ever speaks w/Mustaine or Ellefson? Menza had some issues..R.I.P. Nick.

I remember reading that Marty met with the others when there was talk of a possible Rust era reunion tour or something, but it ultimately fell apart.

1. Youthanasia 2. The System Has Failed (hipster af over here) 3. Rust in Peace 4. Countdown to Extinction 5. Peace Sells 6. Cryptic Writings 7. Killing Is my Business 8. Endgame 9. Risk 10. United Abominiations 11. Thirteen 12. Dystopia 13. So Far, So Good... So What 14. The World Needs a Hero 15. Super Collider
It's been awhile with me and Megadeth, so that might not be 100% accurate. But I don't view Dystopia as much as a return to form as some people. I think it's just about on par with Thirteen, and Thirteen could've been a fair margin better if it was less rushed (less rehashed songs and/or cut a couple songs out). But pretty much every 'Deth album since TSHF suffers from poor tracklisting and song selection. Such as leaving Black Swan off of UA in favor for a worse re-recording of Tout.

The first two tracks off Cryptic Writings (Trust/Almost Honest) are so good. I also like Secret Place, She Wolf and Vortex.
