Anyone heard the Joe Rogan interview with Dave ?
It’s quite boring, but pretty funny too.
Mustaine comes with a lot of statements which Joe kinda just
exposes as untrue with simple google searches. You can see Dave
getting somewhat annoyed about in the end because it happens
quite a few times.
Dave is exactly the kinda person in his private as you would think,
he just talks a lot of shit.
James talked about bee’s and living off the earth, being near nature.
Dave about how he was into black magic at one point which he
used to put spells onto chicks so they would bang him. LOL

I don't get how Dave keeps thinking those weirdly happy sounding, bouncy songs are good. Killing Time, Junkie (this one's even worse), The Emperor from Dystopia. Megadeth albums could still be on par with Metallica albums if Dave had any quality control.
Celebutante is extremely underrated and should've gotten the music video treatment before Killing Time and Life in Hell. Life in Hell is solid though.

Ouch, after listening to this I won't be so harsh on Lux Aeterna. This is crap. It's far from the strongest song on the album. I like this one best. It hasn't been released which is weird to me. This song is really cool from the middle breakdown and onwards, this is the Megadeth I enjoy, sounds like something off of Countdown, Psycotron(?) The first half, I thought Hit the Lights started at first 🧐 kind of sucks. |

OK...i'm a pretty big Megadeth fan and i just listened to The Sick the Dying and the Dead, and i have to say the album is pretty bad. I had a hunch it wasn't great from the singles and the only standout song is We'll Be Back. Alot of recycled riffs and ideas executed poorly. 5/10.

It is worth saying that his voice sounds very good - for decades... |

Tbh Metallica’s albums could also have been a lot better with some quality control. I like what Lars and James writes a lot more than what Dave is writing, but I’m also super biased. Objectively speaking the drumming, bass and solo’s are vastly superior in the Deth department. Riffs are way more complicated too, but funnily enough also extremely boring and generic. Metallica is more than ever James’s riffs and vocals and even though I also feel his riffs often are a little generic they just work better in the context of the song. Dream No More is filled with super plain and generic riffs but I LOVE it from start to finish. |

The Threat Is Real is extremely weak for an opener, and that verse is about as lazy as it gets. I can't tell if it's the tempo or the vocal melody or just the boring guitar, but that ones always been stupidly grating to my ears. Then you get three sort of similar, mid-tempo songs all in a row with Death From Within, Bullet, and Post American. Poisonous Shadows is 'fake deep' and just a worse version of Promises. The Emperor is bottom 10 Megadeth songs for me and that Fear cover is destroyed by the overproduction.
Dystopia and Fatal Illusion are awesome, and Conquer/Lying in State is solid. But I'd still rank it second worst after Super Collider, maybe tied with TWNAH but that album still has some better songs. I felt like I just grew out of Megadeth when everyone but me was praising this album, but TSTDATD confirmed I just don't like it.
