Dystopia is overrated imo and I don't really like Thirteen or Super Collider, but based on the snippets this album could be their best since Endgame. I still think it'll only be decent though, lots of generic riffing from Dave pretty much since Endgame.

I admire Dave for continuing to put out music at a relatively quick pace. But I just don't find their music very memorable. No riff stands out to me, nor do the vocal melodies. It's generic thrash metal but it does its job I suppose.

Meh, a very disjointed song. Never really goes anywhere, just a bunch of fast riffs. I had hope at the end with the slow clean part, thought it would go somewhere heavy and melodic, nope, back to generic Mustaine riff #34559.

I actually really like Night Stalkers, and We'll Be Back is solid. This new one stinks bad though, it just sounds like 3 existing MD parts amalgamated (badly) into a song.

I actually like Soldier on most because it is such a simple song. The others sound like Dave is trying too hard. Soldier on could be on United Abominations (which I like too).

Not sure about the 'yeah yeah' but I like the rest. I like these slower songs like Soldier on and this one. We'll be back is also good though. By far the track I dig the most so far. That little hook lead that starts off right after the intro part, is catchy AF, doesn't even sound like a Megadeth riff, sounds happy, like something Type O Negative would have written on World Coming Down. And the section right before the solo kicks in sounds like it's off a King Diamond album. This one I like. Sounds like Megadeth, but only because Dave is singing, asides from the vocals, this could be a lot of other bands. Good to hear something newish fresh sounding come out of Dave. |

There’s some absolute cringe on this album, some mid tier stuff, but also more good to great songs than any Deth album in a long time. I also love how much collaboration Dave finally opened up to. It makes me think that it was more what other members were bringing to the table. Or maybe he’s just getting older and more relaxed (even though he needs to drag Junior in every interview he does).
