Dystopia has grown on me a little bit. I still don't like Bullet to the Brain and The Emperor.. fucking horrible lyrics.
Had they not been on the album it would've been pretty solid.

What bothers me the most with modern Megadeth is Dave's voice.. and I never had a problem with it before (pre-Thirteen). |

You cut out the guitar bullshit and come up with even a half decent hook over that chorus riff and you may have the best song they've done in 16 years. Instead I get "Random kid at Guitar Center learned to sweep pick and thinks you need to hear it over and over and over" solo #12A. |

That usually bothers me too. I hated UA because of that.
But I didn't mind it on this album. In fact, I kind of enjoyed it.
I wished that Conquer or Die would be longer.
The acoustic intro is awesome.

Anyone else think Dave Ellefson will be gone from the band soon, every interview recently Mustaine is complaining about him, just read one where he blamed Ellefson for Drover and Broderick leaving. Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone by the end of the year.

So what is Dystopia like? I haven't heard it yet. Pretty decent. Much better than anything that's been released by Dave since The System Has Failed. Try not to pay too much attention to the lyrics as he's gotten a bit more conspiracy-ey as he gets older. Well worth paying under £5/$8 for a copy. |

but to his defense, I don2t think there is anything unfair to Ellefson in that comment.
He says he is a great person. Very loveable, he adds.
That doesn't sound like he is being a dick to jr.
Musically, it is pretty normal that he has a closer relation with Kiko, which I think is great.
He probably didn't have a that good communication with Chris before.
