They're like Diet white boy Funk. I think Californication is a good album but that's it. And Frusciante is a dreadful guitarist. |

Mother's Milk is my fav. album. I checked out after Californication. I dig all the albums up until then though.

I like all the albums they did with John Frusciante, the rest doesn't interest me. Blood Sugar Sex Magik is definitely their best.

I'm a fan of their music, but I think losing John was a BIG loss. I'm sure the new guitarist has skills, but the thing I miss the most are the backup vocals.

BSSM, Californication and By The Way are the best RHCP albums for me. Rest is hit and miss.

They should re-record the new song with Frusciante. Maybe rewrite it, too. And perhaps lock Klinghoffer out of the studio.

I have mixed feelings about RHCP. Californication was definitely their peak. After that, they have done nothing of worth. Every album from By The Way onwards is completely forgettable and bland. But up until Californication, they kicked some major ass. My favorite from them is the first album I heard from them, BloodSugarSexMagik. You can't top that!

One of my favorite bands. I prefer the older stuff a lot. The new single is alright. I hope the album is good, or at least better than IWY. I'm going to see them live on the 27th, so we'll see how their new stuff fares. Their best album is One Hot Minute (ooh controversy), then Mother's Milk, then Blood Sgar Sex Magik, then Californication, then the first three albums (tied). Those are all miles above their later work. By The Way is a massive disappointment and IWY is forgettable. Stadium Arcadium has some really good songs and some pretty bad ones too. If condensed down to one disc of the best cuts, it could probably compete with the other albums.
