I'll usually use a .71 Dunlop (the pink one with the turtle on it) when playing guitar and a .96 for bass. I will also use a nylon .88 on either (I use to love using a .88 Herco plectrum with my bass but I haven't seen them on sale for years). That's generally speaking, sometimes I'll use others tho. It does help that these are cheap and plentiful. One thing, every time I use a very thin and flexible plectrum (idk, <.60) I never, ever regret it. I think the Dunlop Tortex are probably the most popular picks. What the idea gauge? .50, .60, .73, .88, 1.0, 1.14MM?

I've tried a ton of different picks over the last 13 years but I find my self sticking with the Dunlop picks.
I use a Tortex .88 as well as Gator Grips in 1.14mm and 2.0mm.

I've always used the Tortex .88's too. I've tried to expirament with jazz picks lately but after 20 years of the .88's It just feels weird lol

I really like Ernie Ball picks. Tortex (R.I.P. Jim Dunlop) and Fender mediums work too. It'll all in what you like and what feels good for your style of playing.
