I'm a manager at an Ice Cream shop at night, a parent during the day, and a Graphic Designer on the side.

Meh, Cookie Dough is over rated IMO, I really liked the mint Oreo but the dumb dumbs in head office decided to eliminate it from the menu last month. I am numb to the deliciousness I work with everyday, been looking at the stuff for close to 18 years, its all the same to me now.

I met a few over the years, but not at work. I think it's easier to happen having pieces fall on your hands while preparing them on the workbench or during transportation than with the actual machines, but I suppose it's different with different jobs and functions.

Yea I think a lot guys lose them to pinch points during assembly. Dropping liners into an engine can be dangerous kids.

My stepfather just lost a few toes from some machine accident at work, no more flip-flops for him this summer.

Retired at age 29 due to health issues.
If it would be possible to choose good health with a job, I'd take that option.

Design engineer, currently designing printed circuit boards and creating the models and documents for manufacturing of our alarm / tracking products. Been doing it for ages now and been talking about moving on but its hard to leave when the conditions are good. Started sending out the old resume recently and the boss must of got panicky and offered me quarterly bonuses....so still here.

Dude, would love to help you out but we've gone from 30+ people down to 5 in the last few years (+ 1 parttimer when we need an extra hand at times.) This place only has a one way door, and its now at the point where its bare bones staffed. I used to work in the drawing office, now I am the drawing office. Its pretty much to the point where if one more person was to walk it would probably be its death as its fairly specialized and the business would not survive the learning curve of a newbie. (hence the bonuses offered) For each good thing about where I work there's 2 things that suck. I hope to read that you got yourself some work soon, genuinely wish you luck with that.
