TMZ reports that pop legend Prince has died today at 57.This year is fucking terrible. :( I have a friend whose top three favorite artists of all time are David Bowie, Prince and Morrissey. Let's see if this year brings him to 0 living idols... EDIT: Changed the title, I saw that somewhere and I actually laughed out loud. I know it might be offensive to some and I do apologize, but sometimes laughter is the best cure.

Apparently he was hospitalized last week due to a severe flu. Don't know if that was the cause, though. |

It's been speculated, pure speculation mind you, that he had AIDS. Mediatakeout had a blind item about him in which they said he's been managing his illness well for decades until recent years when religious leaders in the jehovah's witness church he attends convinced him he was cured. Of course he wasn't and his AIDS progressed to the point it was no longer treatable, hence the reason he's been so sick recently with 'flu' related illnesses.

craig charles dropped all of purple rain (the album) on his radio show and i forgot how beastin' the guitar solo to purple rain (the song) is (despite hearing it like 879683423 times since thursday + having most recently to that heard it a couple of days previous). i am not sure what it was, and it may just have been, idk, a certain mood i was in and good have happened had he not passed, but it was definitely very affecting at that moment. :aye:

I wasn't a fan of that male/female androgynous thing Prince had going on. Also, lets be honest his music wasn't great. Bowie was also overrated.
