Anyone here have experience with GarageBand? I'm kind of struggling to get a grasp on its workings (which is weird, since it's supposedly pretty user-friendly).

I use Reaper, there are a lot of tutorials for that. I'm sure GarageBand has the same, you just have to find it.

Easy to use, has great routing abilities, compatible with all the things (and updated quickly!).

I'm primarily a Reaper guy, yeah. I started using this Macbook when my desktop died, so I thought I'd give GarageBand a whirl. Good free programmed drums and all that jazz, something Reaper lacks. Thought I'd be able to just plug in and go to town, but apparently GB is fussier than that.
