Zanks, will watch when I get off from work. Can't access FB from here My main issue with Kirk is that in every single gig that's been streamed over the last 3 years, there is a portion of the show where his guitar is completely out of tune. The fact we hear it happen on every stream, leads me to logically believe it happens at every fucking show, and it's pitch altered in LiveMetallica recordings. I just don't understand how this is possible for a band like Metallica. I've been wondering about this too, but it's actually been like that for many many years. Of course his guitar can go out of tune and Kirk does play it pretty hard, but what I don't understand is how it can be out of tune when he switches on stage. Can't his tech tune a freaking guitar or what.

Love those pics.
Where is Zach these days? Noticed he wasn't at the gig ... unless he looks radically different

That actually wasn't part of the official setlist. Lars started the beat, Kirk joined in as did James. If you notice Rob looks confused as he didn't know the song (James even makes reference to this later in the set). It was an off-the-cuff jam that turned into a stab at the song. The gig should have started right with Lights. Ahh, okay. That makes sense.

They basically play the whole song though, well only one verse, but yeah, the complete solo section etc...
And Het's vocals are awesome on it.
Shame the LiveMet mix is pretty flat though, although that could just be me.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to the part of the brain that makes one relax and have fun for some of you fuckers. Or is mine the one that's broken and I should be more critical?

James really impressed me here. Either it's because it's a one-off show or he's been practicing lately.

Gotta say, at first I thought that Helpless performance was pretty bad, but after having watched the Metontour vid I find it pretty damn awesome. And you know what ? I just love them messing around and doing something out of the ordinary. Maybe Kirks solo wasn't the best, but you try and do it in the spur of the moment without having played it in... I have no idea how long, but a long time. Hell I can't remember a solo I played last week

If you look the definition of awful up in the dictionary, you'd get a description of the word awful, which HR would say "doesn't really add up" to him.

I love how people are taking apart the performance of a song that wasn't even on the SETLIST. It was an off the cuff jam that turned into what it was. the last time they played it was in 2012. Four years ago.
Jesus. Cut them some slack.

Lars was solid at this show. He's definitely better.

I just don't understand how this is possible for a band like Metallica. Didn't he say somewhere that he deliberately plays guitars with action slightly too high as he wants a challenge....? Could be Kirk bollocks but he might be pressing down too hard to compensate. He definitely needs super low action and 10 gauge strings.

Lars was solid at this show. He's definitely better. Idk about that man, he "accidentally" "turned off" his snare drum during Jump In The Fire, thus making Jump In The St.Anger. 9.5/10

Does anybody know the song at 2:42 from the MetOnTour video? It's when they FIRST enter the store. It's hard to make out what song it is.

This kind of wishy-washy attitude towards mind reading just will not stand. Now sort it out. Pronto buster.

The whole show from livemet is on the channel. This is the best James has sounded in a LONG time. I'm very impressed.

Hopefully it's because he's been doing extra warm ups and stuff from recording demoes. vocals...

I know it's not financially beneficial, but I really wish they would tour less. Give James a chance to preserve his voice a bit better.
