So I gave the Big Labowski another chance after many years. I still say it's an OK movie, nothing worthy of the praise it gets though. Stupid ending and too many loose ends.

Supes v Bats
A confusing mess of film. Some very interesting ideas (the worship of Supes as a god-like figure, Batman sturggling to find a relevancy in fighting crime) but it just does not work together. You cannot bring the noir, realism of Gotham and Bats into the bright superhero world of Supes.
Still, the only reason for this film was to set up the Justice League so it's done that. Kinda. Hugely pointless having Wonder Woman in the film too.

I agree, the Coen brothers are overrated imo. No Country For Old Men is my fav of theirs and one of my fav films ever. Their other films are mostly just ok. Big Lebowski is cool though. |

I watched the new Terminator movie, Genyshit or something like that. It was OK and that's being nice. I'm a huge Terminator fanboy so it did make me warm a fuzzy watching, but it made me so angry to see some of the choices they went with for the plot and casting. John Connor was almost unbearable, the new Sarah was awesome.
I'll rewatch it again and again like the others, and I can feel it growing on me already, but fuck, why can't they just make a new Terminator movie that's as good as the first 2. Its like they keep trying to reinvent the wheel. Just stick to the basics, its not that hard.
