Anybody seen The Witch yet? I've heard good things. But I'm also suspicious that it's so good because they used an actual witch and she'll come to my house and turn me into a newt. I don't know if I can take that risk.

I began to watch Bone Tomahawk yesterday, it started off really well but the next 30 min literately nothing happened so I had to turn it off. I'll give it another go later when I'm not dying I thought it was great!

Deadpool
it was fun and I had a blast. Also for the type of movie it was with not much into the way of a plot, I really liked how Reynolds and Baccarin made me really like the characters.

The Martian
It was really good. Almost great, but not quite. Matt Damon was likeable. The survival part was intriguing to watch. The ending was pretty intense.

So I guess it gets better later on I wasn't really bothered by the slow pace. It might even have gained some tension because of it...like a brooding feel or something. I was anticipating what you knew/could feel was about to come later on, and it didn't let me down.

^ yeah it was fun, the part with the plane circling the area and just shooting everythin was cool. Have you seen White House Down? I have not yet, to me they are the same movie so I have not been in a hurry, but I do mean to. The new Red Dawn is cool to.

I didn't like White House Down. I saw it 2-3 years ago so I don't remember much about it in detail, but I think its problem was that it couldn't mix the stupidity and seriousness/high stakes as well as OHF. My recollection is that it was way too goofy.
Also Gerard Butler >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Channing Tatum as an action hero.

I preferred White House Down precisely because it didn't take itself too seriously. They're both pretty bad, but when it's done with a nod and a wink it's a bit more tolerable.

Any film where the plot is Death to America are fun to watch. Are there any more good recent ones like the few mentioned? White house down, Olympus has Fallen, Red Dawn, stuff like that?
