So, what did you think of the season finale and the season overall? I thought it was one of the best seasons and the whole last part of the finale was really tense.
...And please put any info from the comics that hasn't been part of/happened (yet) in the show in spoiler tags.

I thought it was a great finale. I don't read the comics and I don't get all the outrage over the cliffhanger.
I'm currently re-watching the whole series and am up to season 3. Season 6 has to be one of the best seasons they've had.

Terrible choice made all the more terrible by the creators thinking that it will be worth it once we see season 7. Game of Thrones has it right. They'll kill whoever they want, and they'll do it well.

Game of Thrones has it right. They'll kill whoever they want, and they'll do it well. Most memorable deaths on most good shows do it like Game of Thrones. What's the point of such an immense build up only to deflate the tension entirely and make you wait for 6 months, by which point everything building up to it is a faded memory? I can't think of a single great death done the way Walking Dead did it, and for good reason. That said I agree that the second half of the season was some of the strongest stuff the show has done. Shame it ended the way it did.

GDM played Negan well, but I don't hate him immediately like how it was intended in the comics. The show's Negan is cool; I don't want to see him get killed. Maybe he and Rick will be best buds.

I finally enjoyed the show again...and they end the season on the dumbest fucking cliffhanger. Negan's introduction was incredible. I was actually afraid for the group for probably the first time in the series. Rick looked hopeless. It should have ended with shock and horror, but we got nothing. Just frustrated with the writers, directors, whoever.

The second half of the season was great, but I thought the end was really stupid.

This was my favorite show when it started, but when season 3 hit it really started to decline. I think I made it halfway through season four and then I simply gave up.

My new favorite theory:
"What if Negan swings and misses his intended victim, the bat hits the ground, comes back and hits him in the head. In a dazed stupor, he continues hitting himself with the bat until he dies."
Might as well go full retard.

That was fucking tense, and I liked that Trevor from GTA V was there.

I found the ending to be very intense. Great acting all round (esp when in TTD they explain all those actors stayed in that'state' all night for filming in front of Negan during his monologue for filming)
I will confess, when he swung that bat and connected - with whom? - my hands went straight to my head like I had been whacked. Found it quite a brutal ending to an excellent season. Yes, it sucks that we don't know who bit Lucille but I didn't get ragey about it.

I enjoyed the finale, and always expected a cliffhanger ending. It was a little cheap, especially after watching shows like Banshee and Game of Thrones, where they don't hold back, but yeah it was nothing I was super angry about.
The second half of this season was great, the first half was completely forgettable. I remember thinking that could have covered everything that happened in 1-2 episodes. but somehow they bloated it out to a half season.
I think this should would benefit a lot from much shorter seasons.

In a perfect world. AMC wouuld put out a special edition extended cut of the episode with the "real" ending. Air it right before Fear the Walking Dead or something. It would never happen but I could almost forgive them for ruining the best scene from the comics if they did it. EDIT: While we are at it. George Lucas that shit and add this into the scene and a CGI negan dance number.

I doubt it's Glenn, if it is some idiot will start asking them why only white people survive in the zombie apocalypse.

Going to finally watch season 6. I'm on episode 2...the dumb is real.
Example: "Carol I could have stopped him, you ain't got to kill nobody."
Other example: "I ain't gonna come to safety with you Carl cause I'm a big hormonal idiot and just cause you just saved my life I don't like your daddy!"

Well the Glenn dumpster episode was just dumb.
The following Morgan episode was fantastic though.

Does anyone watch this show for the relationships? Is anyone tuning in to see if lesbian 1 and 2 will stick together or if Abraham and Rose or whatever are going to reconcile? I mean surely not? That isn't anyone's focal point?

I know it's just me talking to myself, but whatever.
They fall super bad into the habit of making the female "bad guys" super bitchy and arrogant. It annoys me that most TV thinks the only way to make a woman a villain is to make her a cunt.

As I said on Judas, that was the most brutal piece of television I've ever watched. Fucking intense.

Is the word that kept going through my mind as I watched it and at one point I think I said it out loud.. fucking BRUTAL! I was torn between watching and looking away. Very powerful first episode indeed. Hard-hitting even (pun intended :p)
