Christ, what a shit pile of a final season. I dont watch the show, but I heard the previous episode pulled a Last Jedi and some SJW crap, in a nutshell, what's going on? LOL what? Please elaborate
And come on LeeClaire, why don't you like nice things? Granted, it sucks that this season is only 6 episodes, so I admit it feels a bit rushed at times (even though the episodes are a bit longer), but for my money, this season has been pretty damn good.

I wouldn't say it's SJW at all. I'm not sure where people got that. It's just shitty writing and characters getting away with things that would have killed them in earlier seasons.
It's still a fun show to watch, but that's all it is now. It's not "bad", just not as good as it once was. It feels like they are rushing to the end which I understand.

I don't blame the show writers for the drop off. They thought George's books would be done by now. They're not. It's not their fault.
They had to finish the entire series on their own. They had a couple of months to write what GRRM takes a decade to do.
What are they supposed to do? Wait another 10 years for George to finish?
They did what they could.

- The plot is terrible - The writing is terrible - The characters are acting out of character - The characters are stupid just to move the plot forward - It's insanely rushed I don't blame the show writers for the drop off. They thought George's books would be done by now. They're not. It's not their fault. They had to finish the entire series on their own. They had a couple of months to write what GRRM takes a decade to do. What are they supposed to do? Wait another 10 years for George to finish? They did what they could. You don't want to blame the writers of the show for bad writing? And both HBO and GRRM wanted Thrones to go 10 seasons. It's D&D that decided to phone-in the finale while rushing to the finish. Presumably so they could do their post-Civil War alternate history and Star Wars trilogy. Both of which I don't have high hopes for given how bad the writing for Thrones steadily became once they ran out of source material. And I would really like to read ASoIaF if GRRM ever finishes it -- but it's not his job to bring GoT to a conclusion. That is all on D&D, and they are doing a horrible job of it. Even if they pull off some masterful twist in the final two episodes that avoids the obvious, heavily-foreshadowed plot -- seasons 7 & 8 will still be tainted with, "What the fuck are they doing?"

Well who didn't see that coming... I wonder what's going to happen next week! they really have rushed this. I'm new to GOT, binge watch 1-7 in January. this picture below pretty much describes this season and the ones before it. ^ though season 6 is my favourite. love Arya and that faceless sh*t.

God dammit... They've pretty much ruined the show for me by now... Why oh why are they rushing things so much

It's rushed because D&D are sick of GOT (working off someone else's work for 10 years with little to no creative freedom) HBO offered them 10 episodes each for the last 2 seasons and they took the lowest common denominator. They're done. once disney offered them 100% creative freedom to make their own Star Wars Trilogy they had their exit strategy and it was off to the races they went.
Anyway.... Who in their right mind would EVER trust a fucking Targaryan with the Throne again after this?
And I'm looking right at John Snow when I say that.
fuck that family.
As they say...."fool me once... fool me twice...."

This is why I don't bother watching TV series like this.
GoT Walking Dead Lost Heroes The X-Files (when Mouldy left)
Waste of time

What made you cry more?
Jon Snow killing his Queen? Tyrion strangling his whore?

What a fucking completely underwhelming, anti-climatic, bore-fest of an ending to what was the greatest tv show ever.
Dracarys!!

What made you cry more? Jon Snow killing his Queen? Tyrion strangling his whore? Jon killing Dany. cause Tyrions hoe... what was her name? it started with S. she got what she deserved. Dany has been turned into a psycho mass murderer in about 3 episodes. she used to only kill her enemies like the Sons of the Harpy but now she mows down innocent kids edit: Shea, her name was Shea < though I don't know if that's how you spell it.

I think the major plot points were actually good, it was just executed so horribly. Hoping the books deliver it much better. It was so rushed, you couldn’t get immersed in basically any scene because of all the plot holes and inconsistencies.
The most disgusting part was how they had to write a nice happy ever after story for everyone to open the doors for spin off series.
Pirate/naval explorer Arya actually made me laugh out loud - it reminded me of 80s cartoons when they’d make story lines to sell action figures. I expect to see a pirate Arya action figure on shelves in the next couple of weeks.

yeah Dany's turn into a mass murderer was not earned or set up properly. we needed a full season to ramp that up.

Why is Bran still alive if he knew all of this would happen like he implied in the show? He is just as bad as Daenerys. He pulled all of the strings to make it happen, so wouldn’t he hold much of the responsibility?
I’m confused.

on a positive note.
The scene between Sansa and Tyrion in the crypt is one of the best moments of the series.. Theon's sendoff was quite moving as well.
Daeny's victory speech to a thousand screaming dothraki in a post apocalyptic Kings Landing was actually quite frightening. if they had only taken the time to properly set up her devastating character arc - it would have been extremely powerful.

Heh, I'm mostly fine with the way it ended. People expect too much imo. Kinda just glad it's over.

Yeah, I got strong "Saruman speaking to the orc masses in Orthanc" / "Hitler speaking to the nazi masses in Berlin" vibes from that scene. It was a very well done scene. Too bad the buildup was so goddamn rushed.
