Whats the best budget phone to buy right now?
Been googling , heard tons of good stuff about Moto G but i'm not sure really, not a big fan of motorala to begin with. Zenfone 2 specs are great but it just felt too cheap holding it in my hands , battery is not removable either ( why the fuck do they make it like that?! dickheads) i haven't had a single phone without battery issues. So yeah , im a bit clueless on what budget phone to buy. any recommendations?!

Yeah Moto G is the only thing I see come up time and time again when it comes to budget phones. I wouldn't buy something based purely on hard specs; read a lot of impressions (from people who know what they're talking about) -- there's a lot of phones that run outdated versions of Android like utter shit, are filled with 3rd party apps and when compared side by side will probably have a much worse screen and camera.

I just got a new phone last week, its a Alcatel Pixi. It was the cheapest one they had and its great. Cost me 45$ with the plan I have. The video camera is really good. The apps that were preinstalled are decent as well. For 45$ I can't complain.

I'd say Sony Z models are pretty cheap, I got my self a Z1 compact a year ago and its relatively cheap and powerful.

Yeah , so far so good , feels very smooth. Nice that's probably my next one too. Battery life good? on mine i turned the "auto" brightness right down for battery conservation.

my phone is going slowly kaputt too, probably speakers (sometimes I answer a call but can't hear anything, sometimes it works), now it's the right-hand button to turn it on/unblock screen that's not working. So basically I have to open the back cover and remove the battery and put it back in to turn the damn thing on, and then have to set time/day all over everytime. I'm guessing nowadays it's not even worth it to try and repair these type of things? I have some expenses with things being fixed around the house, now the house tax soon, will have to replace springs in my car's suspension soon too...I didn't want to spend any money on something so risible as a fecking phone

Too early to judge really but it took me around 10-12 hours to empty the battery on default settings even though it was the first day and i was playing around everything to figure out stuff. I'm not a heavy user when it comes to phones , won't be playing or use it exclusively to watch stuff so its probably gonna be more than enough.

Sorry for the bump but I thought this thread would fit my question: Anyone out there ever had a Huaqaieieiiwi or whatever it's called ? My nerd gene is demanding me to retire my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and try something new. The S7 is supposed to be great but that won't really satisfy my nerdiness enough since it's basically the same phone. I've been looking at this, the Huawei P9, it looks great and feels great, got great reviews too. Apparently it's cheaper too, but that doesn't really matter in this case. I just wanna know if they are as user friendly as they are good looking. So, anyone ever had one ?

I don't know anything about that phone in particular, but Huawei made the last Google flagship phone the Nexus 6P so it shouldn't be bad. I'd look up if it comes with any bad third party stuff; that screenshot looks like raw Android to me which is a good sign. Incidentally the next Google Nexus is due out next month so it might be worth waiting to see what it's like. It'll probably be my next phone as I've loved the Nexus 4 and Nexus 6.

My problem with the Nexus is that is's just too damn big, it's not really as pretty either, to me of course. As I understand, HTC will be providing the next Nexus phone ?

The 6 & 6P are the bigger ones. The 5 and 5X are smaller. Gotta say though, I got so used to the Nexus 6 I'm not sure I want a smaller screen again. It is unnecessarily big though and not for most people. And yeah, HTC is the rumoured manufacturer of the next Nexus.

I was down the store yesterday and tried both, Nexus just seems too big :( I've had a couple of HTC's in the past, they are good phones too so we will see what they will bring to the table. Will probably be rolling with the P9... I think
