I think From Mars to Sirius is their best work, I would probably start there and go with The Way of All Flesh and L'Enfant Sauvage after that. Then again, L'Enfant Sauvage might be a bit easier to get in to. I'm getting really excited about the new album. I wish they would announce a release date, looks like it'll be in the summer although there was talk about a spring release earlier. |

The Way Of All Flesh and Terra Incognita are good but imo there's a few filler track's on both. L'Enfant Sauvage is good too but a lot of people thought there wasn't enough of an evolution in sound after waiting 4 years for it. My favourite Gojira song... |

The Way Of All Flesh is what got me into them, so start with that, BRUDDA.
The death of Joe and Mario's mother apparently has some impact on the album so it might be more emotional than previous albums. Can't wait to hear it.

Pretty much the same feeling as the rest of you. I was expecting something much different after the preview. It's not terrible or anything. Just hope there's more imagination on the album.

Gojira has always been a band that I really want to like, but haven't been able to get into. I checked out their last record and didn't care for it, and there was another (blueish cover, has a skeleton on it? I forget the title) that I thought had some alright songs, but it still didn't do much for me. I really like this new track though. Hopefully this is the record that finally turns me on to them.

Watch them live if you have any chance, of course and if you haven't done that already. Great live band. Silvera is a better song but I liked both of them. Just slightly not what I expected. I liked their darker, experimental sound but seems like this album will have a more refined, polished sound. I'm fine with that. |
