If AC/DC chose Axl, they must think he's good enough. That or they just want more money. One or the other.

Got a ticket to the Manc show when they first went on sale. I'm a big fan of Axl and GN'R, but I'm not sure how I feel about seeing him front AC/DC. Brian was a huge part of the appeal for me. The live clips from Coachella sound good though.

People seem to be talking about this Axl shit like its a permanent thing. Thats even worse than temporary. I'm fearing for Angus's mental health - someone needs to get him checked out.

I'm fearing for Angus's mental health - someone needs to get him checked out. I agree, for he decided to allow AXL FUCKING ROSE to audition and subsequently perform for...10 dates is it? Jesus fucking Christ. You would figure that at this point, Angus would be well aware of said idiot man-child's reputation.

Well the reunion seems to be going quite well, so far. I'm sure he'll do fine.

I haven't really followed up on this, but I seem to recall having read that Ac/Dc will tour with Guns and Axl will perform both shows ?

Been offered a refund for my ticket due to the change in vocalist. Leaning towards taking it. Not that I dislike Axl but it wouldn't feel right without Brian.

We saw AC/DC last October (November?) and it was a pretty great show, but yeah its no longer the same and I'd have a few thoughts of showing them I don't support their choice by asking for my cash back

I have no desire to see them anymore, it's basically Angus Young and friends by now

Axl sounds awesome. Hope he doesn't blow out his voice.

Fair play he sounds pretty spot on here. Makes me wonder why he wasn't like this in the recent GNR clips I've seen!

He only sounds a little off when he has to sing highly cleanly, he's still able to scream and sing clean in a low register but it's when he starts singing stuff like November Rain he struggles.

Sorry this is not how I want AC/DC to sound. I won't say it sounds bad, but its not this.....

Which is why I won't attend the show, I don't care if Axl sounds good or not. It's not Ac/Dc by a long shot

So AC/DC at the moment is Angus Young and Cliff Williams from the original line up ?

Cliff WIlliams isn't even an original member, although he did join in 77.
Controversial opinion, but Axl's vocal performance was better than any vocal performance Johnson has given in years, I say vocal performance because Johnson was still a good frontman and Axl still has to sit during gigs.

I've got to say, of the two videos above I definitely preferred Axl's performance.

I didn't expect that. Angus was always gonna be the one to say when its over. This will surely force the hand for Angus to wave the chequered flag now. I kinda figured Cliff would just be content to carry on playing and raking in the cash until Angus made the call.

I kinda figured Cliff would just be content to carry on playing and raking in the cash until Angus made the call. Same, it's really depressing. They have always been one of those bands for me that I could listen to and enjoy no matter what the song and no matter how bad of a day I was having. My mother actually grew up listening to the band and playing the drums to their early albums which she eventually taught me how to do. So in a way I guess I have to thank them for one of my favorite hobbies. I just hate the fact that it has to end this way, BUT I hope Angus is smart enough to hang it up even though he may not want to. Hell it looks like they are having a great time with Axl so at least they ended on a high note.
