grain of salt? how about a metric fuckton of salt. if i make a reddit account and post whatever, claiming that i know stuff because i was on the forum, will i get attention too?
im not pretending everything is perfect cause there does seem to be something up, but big or small, id rather wait for some more solid information or look at what information was given from the band themselves (statements, interviews, what happens at live shows, past events) not a comment on a metallica forum. how is his comment different from someone going on to metbb and made the same claim? he wouldve been ripped apart and told to take a hike until he had some actual, solid shit to back up his claim.
and yous were getting mad in 2013 when people said james was acting strange on the asian leg that year and were wondering what was wrong
smh tbh imo.

That's why I said take it with a grain of salt, which is a saying that means it's probably exaggerated.
But it does include facts that we already know.
We're discussing what's wrong with Kirk, and this info was floating around on other Metboards so I posted it. Don't shoot the messenger.

Don't shoot the messenger. i didnt mean to shoot the messenger steely :( all im sayin is usually we are usually sceptical of rumours here but for some reason this reddit post by somebody completely random gets a pass. dont get it. and yes there is some stuff we do know in his post but that doesnt validate the rest. "James had a drinking problem and went to rehab. i was on the forums back then and it turns out he took out a gun and shot somebody while in rehab!" the first point doesnt make the second point true yaknow. this guy is taking the little info we have and is trying to present a story with it. OMG kirks phone thing was a total hoax and he was actually to fucked up to remember any of his music and james was talking to jeff loomis in case he needs to fill in for kirk. talk about filling in the blanks! unless he puts forward some solid evidence that he isnt just talking nonsense (he hasnt, and i bet he wont) then im not going along with his story. right now something seems strange, but we dont know what is up exactly. lets not try fill the holes up with other peoples fantasies. not annoyed at you btw. just a little surprised this dudes baseless comment is getting attention. |

Sometimes i think Kirk and Lars being a bit crappy actually helps Metallica; it gives them a garage band sound which is quite unique.

I love Kirk, pretty much always have, My only complaint is that since about '91 he tends to ride his wah a bit much, but he himself admits it's part of his style so once I heard that in an interview a few years back I feel better, lol. Same w/my dude Alex Van Halen and his tendency to ride one of his crash cymbals an awful lot, but there agin, I look at his body of work and I don't mind so much...cause he's awesome..like Kirk!!
