Ill start with MOONSORROW.
This band deserves more fucking recognition. I myself discovered them only 3 years ago by accident while reading some FB comments and a discovery it was! They ve been putting out fantastic albums for years and are releasing a new one the 1st of April.
Ive seen their name mentioned in some threads here, but since their music is quite challenging to the listener with their lenght and complicated structures, its necessary to post few links with timestamp so one can see what theyre about...
Ill leave you with what I consider to be one of the best outros in the history of mankind:

Yeah, looking forward to Moonsorrow as well. Other bands coming out with new albums this year, some better known and some obscure but good:

Albums already released this year haven't quite delivered so I have a lot of hope with these, especially Amendfoil and Oddland!

I'm looking forward to so many albums this year, and there are already so many great ones that have been released. I think the ones I'm anticipating most would be
Amon Amarth - Jomsviking
Zakk Wylde - Book of Shadows II
Tremonti - Dust
Katatonia - The Fall of Hearts
Death Angel - The Evil Divide
And Metallica (of course), Havok, Testament, Avenged Sevenfold, Alter Bridge, Revocation, and Be'Lakor are all supposed to have new records out this year as well.

They're writing. But with Mastodon - they can begin writing and still put the album out in the same year.
Plus it's 2 years this summer since the last album.
I expect it will be out late 2016 or early 2017.

So Amon Amarth's new album leaked this morning. I've only listened through once, but I really dig it. There's much more of a classic metal influence, but they do it really well.
