It's got a lot of interesting questions and business drama to it. How will the PC world react? Are they shooting themselves in the foot by trying to essentially be PCs? Will this mean developers stop developing so exclusively and start just saying, "Fuck it, every system gets it!"

Cant quote for some reason. was trying to say this inaudiblewhisperTrue but then again who would want to play a game at 980 30 FPS if there is a console out there that can run it 1080 or more at 60 FPS? i'm not really sure how "upgraded" these consoles could be but it would be a disaster if the difference is something like most cross-gen games even with back/forward compatibility. One of the main reasons i play on console is that there are not many ways one can get massive advantage over you , its almost entirely based on your own skills. its totally a different story on PC as you can get a better performance and advantage by having the latest tech all the time on its endless units and i simply cant afford that.. if they wanna do the same thing on consoles bringing .5 after 2 years and then a completely new one after 4-5 years then i will just move on to the PC. less trouble and less limitation.

This is what happens when dummies want more bullshit gimmicks for their consoles like VR. If 4k was such an issue, they should've waited another year or two to make these consoles. But it wasn't, just some bullshit to get this VR shit off the ground. Can't believe people are actually on board with this idea. It's almost as if, unlike you, all of the people who are on board with and incredibly excited about high-end consumer VR have actually tried it and noticed it's fucking incredible. Wait until it does not get much support like Konnect or how ever you misspell it,

It's almost as if, unlike you, all of the people who are on board with and incredibly excited about high-end consumer VR have actually tried it and noticed it's fucking incredible. Wait until it does not get much support like Konnect or how ever you misspell it, Hardcore gamers and developers didn't really care about Kinect and its usefulness for games was extremely limited. It also barely worked at the best of times. Developers are extremely excited about VR, it works perfectly in many typical genres and even the DK2, a dev kit that only had an audience of 100,000 people, resulted in over 1000 demo's being uploaded to Oculus Share. There are over 300 games announced for VR and 74 games on steam already have VR support. What will be limited initially is major support from AAA developers, simply because the audience will be too small in the short term to justify a massively expensive VR game (aside from none-VR games in which a VR mode makes sense such as pretty much anything in a cockpit). That doesn't bother me one bit though.
