I gave the new album a couple of listens and I was pleasantly surprised. I don't like Flynn's vocals but he is consistent. I'm not a fan of the previous two albums but this one is strong.

I like Machine Head but I'm not a big fan of Robb or his vocals. Personality wise, I'm not sure what makes him not likable as far as I'm concerned but he always comes off as someone that focuses on impressing the "metal community" rather than just be a genuine metal musician. I may not have put this into correct words, though...
And I don't like his vocals.
but I gotta give him the respect he deserves.
He is consistent. He has a good standart with the albums he released.
I really like some of his works except the last few releases (the latest one has some good songs, though).

Yes! This is exactly the feeling I get from him too. He doesn't come off as genuine, he's always trying a bit too hard. And the macho bullshit persona he puts on is so tiresome. |
