The only talk show I really watch is Graham Norton's show.

I miss Jon Stewart too. I like Jimmy Kimmel's mean tweets. And I think you can consider That Metal Show a talk show, right?

Conan, Norton, Ferguson, Colbert, Stewart. In terms of format I much prefer Norton having everyone out for the whole show on the same couch interacting, especially when it's a bizarre mix of people who'd never ordinarily meet.

Is that a ranking or just a list of shows you watch/have watched? Also agreed about Norton's format.

They only show Norton, Colbert and Corden here so I would have to go with those three in that order. They used to show Ferguson but don't anymore. Oh they also show Jimmy Fallon, but seeing as how his show consists of him unsuccessfully trying to be funny for 90% of the show and only 10% him actually interviewing guests I wouldn't really call it a talk show.
Norton is the best, all other hosts are too self-absorbed and the show is more about them than their actual guests.

lol no. At his best he's the best interviewer in this thread. Watch his interviews with Desmond Tutu and Stephen Fry. He's extremely quick witted but isn't afraid to tackle really dark subjects with relative ease. And you think he's worse than the likes of Fallon who rely almost entirely on 4 minutes of fake laughter followed by a quick game of "I hope this goes viral".

Michael Parkinson because he seems to be the only one who realised the show isn't about him, it's about the guests, so he just let them speak.

Currently Stephen Colbert's show is the only one running around here.
Conan ("That Guy on Conan O'Brien", "Cone-Bone", "Chip Whitley") is the best though...
