Metallica should've collabarated with another metal band (like Slayer). Stylistically Lou Reed and Metallica were too different.

Metallica and Slayer doing an album together would have been insane. There are a lot of Slayer haters around here but I still love Slayer.
James and Tom doing vocal trade offs would have been magic.
Lou was all right, someone just needed to have him redo\rethink some parts. I Can't complain about what Metallica brought to the table, they where spot on for what their job was.
