I'm not a fan of Foo Fighters. Never ever finished a complete album. Not because I don't like them but just never happened. I do like Dave Grohl, though...
And I always thought of how lucky Grohl is because he has a compadre like Taylor. They felt like they always have great chemistry and energy together.
He was young. He was full of energy. But aparently this was only the surface. He fought some demons too, allegedly. Sad that he's gone. Must have been quite a shock for people that loved him.

They're back. Just announced three shows in the USA at some festivals. I'll be going to one of them, gonna try my best to be up close! It's gonna be reaaally interesting to see what they do.

I'd put €5 on it being Josh Freese. This. He's the only actual option to me. Rufus Taylor seems too young and inexperienced on the Foo Fighters caliber of shows. Josh has played stadiums with NIN and GNR, and was probably my favorite at the tribute shows that didn't already have an equally successful full time job (hello Matt Cameron and Chad). |

Not yet. I thought they would so say when they were announced on Rock am/im bills, but still nothing. Rehearsals would be happening so its a secret being well kept.

The new song 'Rescued' doesn't do anything for me. It's probably very emotional but it isn't the hard rocking grunge I like from them. It's dad-rock all over again (and I'm a dad but I don't like this.).

Well we all remember what happened on the first record "Hey Dave? is this song about Kurt?" "What about that song? is that song about Kurt?" "Hey Dave why didn't you write any songs about Kurt?" "Do you regret not writing a song about Kurt?" i think Dave put out Rescued, a song so obviously about Taylor, hoping that he won't get fucking asked about it non stop for the next 3 fucking years. |
