This is why it's always good for these companies to flip in domination every cycle. It forces innovation.
But I'll just stick with my PC. Would like MS to start bringing more of their games to PC. It's just more sales. Then, maybe, the others eventually cave in an start putting their exclusives on PC too. I mean, come on, just fuckin do it all ready. Pfff, console war. Sell your product everywhere that people want to buy it. Make that money. People that play consoles, play consoles. You'll still have them. But sell those exclusive games wherever you can. Would love to see Playstation classics remastered and ported to PC.

Would like MS to start bringing more of their games to PC. They are. Forza, Gear of War Ultimate Edition, Ori and the Blind Forest, Quantum Break, Sea of Thieves, Fable Legends are all on/coming to PC. I wish they'd port the Master Chief Collection though. Oh, and make them available on Steam.

Imagine being able to play CoD 1, Jedi Academy, all the old Battlefield games at 1080+. It would be fantastic.

Looking around the tinternet, there's speculation that MS are about to announce a more powerful version of Xbox One.
Why might this be true?
I'm thinking a realisation that people will buy the more powerful machine over brand loyalty
And
VR - xbone has not a chance in hell of joining that train. If it takes off MS are left out in the rain. And it's right around the corner. Also, one of the VR headsets is boxed with an xbox one controller...

i saw this coming a mile away, especially when they controversially announced Xbox one. I don't see this being a bad thing exactly, its a good way to get a leg up on the competition

RE: more powerful Xbox rumours
Hmmm that makes me a little worried. It would mean they are abandoning the Xbox One in favour of something more powerful.
Yeah, it's still pretty much a frustrating POS over 2 years after launch, but that just makes me hesitant to drop more money on a newer, more powerful One that would be just as rushed out the door as the current model was.
It would mean that developers wouldn't bother making games for the current Xbox One.
Who would its target market be? People who haven't upgraded from 360 yet?
Makes no sense to me if it turns out to be true.

So say Star Wars Battlefront is 720p on Xbox One, it'll run at 1080 on Xbox TWO

So like a PC where new GPU/CPU architecture comes out every couple of years (which still supports older games), the Xbox One will keep improving so there is never really a "next console", just the same one moving forward with games running on low/medium/high/ultra depending on how old your console is. I'm not sure how well that model will play to console gamers, but it's quite interesting and some much needed change this gen which is already feeling pretty stale.

Does this mean xbox will support keyboard and mouse natively? That would be nice.

My understanding is you need 3rd party hardware to do it. CronusMAX or Titan for example.

Interesting.
I'm on the sidelines here, still playing Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops 1 on the Xbox 360 and fucking loving it. I'm waiting to be convinced to 'upgrade'.

I'm so jealous, I wish I still had my 360.
Don't upgrade yet, the Xbox One and PS4 are still far behind where they need to be in terms of features, reliability and performance. This generation is a complete dud so far. We were conned.

This generation is a complete dud so far. We were conned. You should get a used on on Amazon, get one that's rated 'good' by a reliable seller. Backwards compatibility seems to be taking forever just a few games at a time....you could probably get a good 360 for £50-60. Yeah I don't hear a lot of great things about them, it seems like it was rushed. I don't like when I have 10 friends online and 9 have Xbox One under their name though. I feel left behind....fortunately there's still a big player base on 360 games. Black Ops 2 has 100k players, Black Ops 1 has 30k. I think a lot of people feel the way I do. Did you go for a One or PS4?

I have an Xbox One.
I'd love to play some older CoDs online again..maybe I should look at getting a 360.

I'll be happy when we get past this creepy ass VR stuff. I know I'll never have one in my home, but that's just me.

If you're going to buy smartphones for the next 10 years, chances are you'll get free VR bundled in at some point. It already is with the new Samsung S7 (in the US at least).
