Been watching Another Life on Netflix purely because Katee Sackhoff is in it and boy is she wasted in this show. Any sci fi fan will spot all the rip off scenes from greats like tremors and alien. Feck evem the spaceship has battlestar galactica posse vibes about it. I reckon they thought 'lets get the queen of sci fi' and opted for Starbuck. I will of course watch it through to the end now because, well' it's Starbuck dammit!!! And I fell for their ploy this is why I thought of watching that show (and I need a good sci-fi) but the comments were so bad I did not bother starting. Katee Sackhoff is awesome, and so was fracking Starbuck. |

Dave Chappelle's new Netflix special is genius, he had me rolling. Completely balls-out takes on PC culture without apology. Exactly what we need right now.

All three have the balls to make jokes about truly anything, they're the last of a dying breed. |

Stranger Things s3.
It was good.
The good (or perhaps bad?) thing about Stranger Things is that watching the 80s atmosphere through the kids eyes is probably better than the seasons plot. That will be already enough for me...
The plot is alright, keeps you interested but not necessarily awed by it.
I found the previous two seasons stronger in mystery which makes them better than S3. .

Been on a Star Trek: TNG binge while I've been laid up here. Few things I've realized:
The effects hold up pretty damn well for a late-80's/early 90's TV show, especially the Enterprise in space scenes. The opening credits sequence has to have been pushing the absolute limits of CG at the time.
Picard is, hands down, the best Star Trek Captain ever.
Without Data, they'd have been fucked about 80% of the time.

This is some twisted, creepy AF stuff so far. Written by one of Stephen King's boys, and based off of his graphic novel, it is like Stranger Things in a haunted house or something so far.
Definitely worth checking out.
