Season 4 of Black Mirror is pretty good (minus the 2nd and 3rd episodes which were just ok imo).
I find with Black Mirror there's a 70/30 chance the episode is going to be either very upsetting or very uplifting....you just never know.

I finished the first season of Dark, it was a fantastic watch. Great time traveling chaos meets Stranger Things.
I started watching Ash vs the Evil dead. A silly gorefest so far. Fun stuff.

Cheers, pal. I'm not dying it's just taking fooking ages to get better. Did you get vaccinated? I'm not anti vaccine, but I have never gotten a flu vaccine and have never gotten the flu. Everyone I know who does get the vaccine ends up sick. |

Watched the first episode of the new season of The X Files. Possibly the worst episode of any television drama series in the history of the medium. Holy shit it was bad, I nearly switched it off. I thought last years season was terrible, but somehow this is even worse.
Apart from it staring David Duchovney and Gillian Anderson (both who look like they are in physical pain having to say some of the shit they have to say), and a few other secondary recurring actors, there is nothing about it that even remotely feels like The X Files. In fact I’d say it’s production values are closer to a CSI Miami or low budget daytime soap opera than it’s past seasons.
I’ll try another episode or two before completely giving up. I’m such a big fan of the original series, even the later seasons that most dislike, but this is just so awful and its so disappointing.

Though you're right, from a production standpoint it was even worse than expected. The editing and expository narration was a complete mess. Most of the season is monster of the week episodes by people who are still capable of writing a coherent story though so I'll keep watching for the occasional golden nugget. |

Watched Episodes 2 and 3. Ep 2, not great but at least felt like The X Files. Enjoyed episode 3 for the same reason, a little cheesy but again it fits with the series.
