Mine arrived last week too. VERY impressed with it although so far (only a bunch of pages in) the amount of text on each page is slightly worrying (as in, I expected more).
Also got a giggle seeing my name in that supporters list too.

Now I'm going to buy that book and look at the roll of honor so I can know 6StringAddict's last name.

That book does look pretty awesome. Stupid shipping and pricing in pounds made it crazy expensive and not worth it. At least the special edition version that I'd want to get.
How is the actual content in it? Good?

New album, Sorceress, announced for late 2016. Also, Opeth are switching from RoadRunner to Nuclear Blast, which is kind of interesting. You people are getting slow in your old age. This news has been out for like an hour. How are y'all not already jumping all over this shit?

Speaking to a friend, he said something about Nuclear Blast has been signing quite a few bands they may not have tried/chosen to sign previously

They've just re-signed In Flames and got Paradise Lost on board as well. Their roster is absolutely stacked these days. Most of my favourite metal bands seem to be with them.

Got tickets to their Toronto show on my birthday in October. 3rd row balcony. Should be pretty awesome.
And I was surprised about the NB signing. Expect lots of different colour vinyl releases for Sorceress.
And looking at the NB roster, they do have quite a few of the bands I like now (Blind Guardian being the obvious one)

Because NB are still independent/not sucking corporate dick. They are what Roadrunner used to be. Hell, even the A&R guy from RR, Monte Conner, is their new CEO.

I really like that album art. Haven't really enjoyed an Opeth album since GR, but I'll still check it out.

Being a big fan of the last album, I'm pretty eager to hear the follow up. His description of the calm and heavy and progressive makes me want it now.
12 days to record. This I also love. Not drawn out and laboured over.

12 days... Insane... I'm very exited, wasn't a huge fan of PC but I'm looking forward to this

That artwork is awesome. Hopefully a single isn't too far off.

The clip at the end Also, apparently a station in the uk aired the title track early by mistake. A few people have said it sounded a bit sludgy/doomy, some of the riffs seemed a bit sabbath-y, and that it sounded familiar yet different than anything opeth has done so far. My hype is at an all time high.

That riff is fucking great. Mike's voice is on point. This sounds so weird and different than what we've heard from Opeth so far and I love it. I'm so hyped for this record.

Pretty average on first listen. I'll give it a few more tries in the coming days, see how it fares.

Really liked it after one listen. Mike sounds great, as always, nice crunch, interesting intro. I dig.

The intro is probably my least favorite part of the song, too similar to the PC stuff
