This song was ruined by Bob Rock's production, the riff is good.

I wish people wouldn't post in threads for things they hate.
if you have nothing positive to say about at all - why even post or enter the thread ?

Because they want to give their opinion, and they have the right to do so.
Also, it's definitely James.

You post in threads about things you hate all the time. If you want people posting nothing but positive stuff, this forum would look a lot like the official one. "I love Bad Seed" "OMG I LOVE BAD SEED TOO METALLICA ARE THE BEST" "fuck yeah Metallica" "Hi James if you read this play Bad Seed in Argentina" IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?!

Bad Seed is my favourite song. Those spoken words are the epithome of Metallica.
Reload is the best album ever. Especially James vocal approach

I love the Bad Seed riff as they played it on Cunning Stunts. So cool.

I love ReLoad all the way through.
Actually, I'm fortunate enough to be able to go through all of Metallica's discography and enjoy it. I think it's because the first song I ever heard was from that era, No Leaf Clover. Guys, the first album I bought was S&M. The second was ... And Justice for All! You can imagine how I thought it was a different band!

Yeah. I like pretty much every Metallica song (covers included) except maybe...Mama Said? The only other songs I could rant about is meh filler like Slither or Purify or eh songs like Ronnie that aren't bad but are just kinda off-putting but none of them do anything bad really

^Same here, there's about 3% of their stuff I really don't like, Hit the Lights, Hell and Back (except for the clean parts), some of those Rammones covers are shit, Devils Dance. That's it I think. Reload has its place. Its my least favorite album, but I still enjoy it when I'm in the right mood. Bad Seeds ok, its a cool rockin bluesy kind of song. I was just happy it had doubble bass drums in it at some point when I first heard Reload on the day it came out.
Its like Load is probably my favorite on most days, while Reload is my least favorite every day.

I don't like Escape or Anaesthesia - which is just an ego stroking exercise. Also " take 1 " . haha.
I really dislike Poor Twisted Me and All Within My Hands too.

Yeah Escape kinda blows too. Especially the bridge and ending. Almost effortless. Whenever anyone says the 80's were perfect, you can remind them of this. Even the band knows this. They only played it for when they were playing the whole RTL album.
Anyway, with that said, here are the songs I don't think are good/great in their entire discography (some aren't bad, just meh)
1. Motorbreath 2. Escape 3. Mama Said 4. Ronnie 5. Better Than You 6. Free Speech For The Dumb 7. Purify
That's it. Really mama said is the only one I hate, I dislike escape, the rest are fine. Motorbreath and Free Speech for the Dumb are just bland and standard. Ronnie isn't actually bad, it's just a little, I dunno, off-putting to me. I don't know what it is about the song. It's just...idk. Better Than You is clearly filler, but it's still a fun song to listen to in the background while you're doing something. Purify is just a song that kinda dawdles and just doesn't really do anything for me. In the huge mass of St. Anger, it doesn't stick out in any way. The rest of their discography I can praise.

Mama Said is a fantastic song IMO.
The Metallica songs I don't like are:
1. Escape 2. Poor Twisted Me 3. Slither 4. Better Than You 5. Bad Seed 6. Prince Charming 7. Attitude 8. Dirty Window 9. Purify 10. All Within My Hands 11. My Apocalypse
Some other songs come very close to being on my dislike list, but they usually have some redeemable qualities that edge them out. E.G. Metal Militia, Eye of the Beholder, Cure, Thorn Within, The Judas Kiss, Invisible Kid.

You don't like 6 songs on Reload - which means therefore you do like 7 of them. Over 50% of the album.
intradasting...

I've always said that I like a whole bunch of songs on Reload, but the production ruins them. I frequently listen to Fuel, The Memory Remains, The Unforgiven 2, and Carpe Diem Baby. The songs are strong enough for me to get past the vocals, and the mix isn't too bad on these songs (although Carpe Diem Baby is borderline). The others, Devil's Dance, Where The Wild Things Are, Fixxxer are a couple of times a year type of affair. Oh and Low Man's Lyric is great, but I need to be in the right mood to listen to it. It's also interesting to note that Reload was co-mixed by Randy Staub and Mike Frasier, where's Load was just Randy. Therefore, I blame Mike.

Just a question: why don't you like All Within My Hands? I can understand the others, but that one is one of my favorites on St. Anger. (I respect your opinion and I don't care if you hate it, I just wanna know why)
