I agree with the last few posts.
You have a game like The Division, amazing visuals, great combat, great potential - but it ends up being another boring, overly complex and bloated game that isn't fun in the slightest.
Then you have Rocket League, a cheap, simple game that is nothing special to look at, but is extremely fun, addictive and instantly becomes one of your favourite games because of its gameplay.
For some reason games are no longer judged on gameplay or how fun they are to play, but instead on the amount of content that can be jammed into it and how long a game goes before you finish it.
We need games need to be more like Rocket League and less like a The Division.

Wife bought me Destiny and Thief 4 for my birthday. I've started playing Destiny, which I played briefly at a friend's house a couple of months back. I wasn't sure what to make of it then, but I'm actually really digging it. It's a fun shooter with a healthy dose of RPG-ness thrown in to mix things up and keep them interesting. It's nice to play something that's just fun.

You take it to the beach or something? For some reason I brought some of the floppy disks with me to a playground once...

I've been on a Lego Dimensions binge. It has to be the coolest game ever. Batman and Gandolf in the Land of Oz with Homer Simpson, like WTF? Its a real mind trip this game.

Let's talk about the load of shit called Driveclub.
I paid $15 for this on the PSN and god damn. Everything except for two tour races, single races, time trials and a handful of cars is DLC garbage. I could have done a lot worse for $15, but I could have done way better than this for $15.
Those devs are assholes, locking 90% of the game with DLC. What a joke.

Cannot buy them separately; only in a bundle with the original game. Thanks Bungie. Go fuck yourself. It wouldn't be so bad if I could actually progress further in the game without the add-ons, but I can't. I can't participate in 90% of the PvP stuff, and I can't do any more strikes or quests. The vanilla content is really fun but miniscule. It took 10 hours, max, to finish the storyline. Great gameplay, shit game.

Divinity Original Sin is better than Final Fantasy 7.
I totally love this game.

According to some sources at NeoGAF this WW1 Battlefield game is, on some level, alternative history. How far that goes I'm curious, I'd personally prefer to see a pretty straight campaign. Or something faithful to the time but totally fictional like Inglourious Basterds rather than something crazy like Wolfenstein. But it might be something as simple as speeding up tech deployment so there's more weapon/vehicle variety in multiplayer. Any idea, Farshad?

In my mind, I now picture WW1 with jet packs, laser rifles, and drones.

I can see it now, wall running along trenches, double jump and throw a mustard gas grenade at a group of enemies, followed by an instant drop shot or 360 no scope.

I would enjoy seeing how they'd handle a strictly WWI game setting.

After letting it sit idle on my Steam list for over a year, I finally started playing This War of Mine a few days ago. Never have I played such a great game while having such little fun. It just might be the most desolately depressing games I've ever played. But it's so, so good. I do have to balance a play session of TWoM with something light and funny... Such as Rocket League. Good goddamn it's a shitton of fun. I especially love the ice hockey mode, but I've also started to succeed in ranked play. Totally addicting, and I love the way it's easy to just pop in and play for fifteen minutes or so. But the longest session I ever did was about 4 hours. :) TWoM is great but I can't play it for long periods of time, it can get quite frustrating.

People belt off over the graphics in this game, I've played it twice. Both times it was daytime and no weather conditions. The truth is it is really nothing special without weather effects. It's the lighting and weather effects that are exceptional.

Not the impression I got from the AU xbox store. And I've heard others complaining of a similar issue. Looks like I stand corrected in this case! Good to know.

Okay maybe it's not worse than GT4, but they look almost the same. Cars look great but the environments leave a lot to be desired.

It is basically what you just said , fictional like inglorious bastard and it is faithful to the time. nothing crazy or unbelievable is around for SP. For the MP , this is a battlefield game and they have to bring the same battlefield feelz into it ,they are using prototypes and also bits of creativity and imagination here and there to keep things varied..i havent seen a thing that doesn't match the concept. ( you not gonna get locked on ) :D knowing the amount of content BF4 had at launch over 100 weapons...BF5 might disappoint some content wise. In my oppinion and as we currently speak this is the the best BF title since BC2. shall see how they manage to ruin it till shipping day though.

Nintendo Direct announced for tomorrow. Focus is on spring/summer releases for Wii U and 3DS. My expectations are low but I'm quietly hoping for the rumoured Paper Mario game for Wii U to be announced and something about the new Zelda (even if it's just a brief bit of new footage).

I don't mind a little less content when we talk about weapons and such, especially if they can keep shit accurate. In BF4 I did try to get everything for every weapon, but it's not something I specifically want in a BF game.
