E3 was what it was because of the timing of next gen. Which I'm guessing isn't 20, but 21. Lots of work to do for that launch.

Three Zelda games... This one looking the best Looks like a Zelda rip-off! Yep, but with the setting i'd say it's probably a nod to Zelda and Kid Icarus

So what do you guys think? Will the PS5 be completely be backwards compatible or not?
I hope it can play all games from PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 and ofcourse PS5. But I think it'll never happen.

Through emulation/downloads/streaming, yeah, the PS4 basically is now. Discs? Never. It would jack up the price of the console to put all the different hardware in there. It's only gonna be direct backwards compatible to PS4. Discs are going away anyway, say goodbye to them. Xbox was going to try it too early before this gen launched and people threw a fit, but I'm betting mid generation during the next gen, both Sony and MS will release more advanced 'X' and 'Pro' systems that also don't come with a disc drive. I seriously wouldn't bother buying discs anymore. Let'em go, they're worthless. A lot of console game boxes don't have discs in them anyway, just a download code. Your PS4 PSN account is going to be transferable to PS5, meaning the downloads you own will be re-downloadable through all future PS generations. (Like PC with Steam and other platforms, btw, I'm guessing on a lot of what I just said, but it seems like the most highly likely scenarios given the evidence) The consoles are closed OS cheap PCs now. Time to let Gamestop go out of business.

Although I’m sure you’re right, discs are going away, I wish they wouldn’t. I typically beat a game and then sell it for a decent percentage of the retail cost. With downloads, that’ll be a thing of the past.

And how are you supposed to lend and swap games with your friends? Or bring your game over for game night?

And how are you supposed to lend and swap games with your friends? Or bring your game over for game night? Ok boomer ;) Let's put it like this. We wanted better graphics/innovation, we are paying for it now, along with all the dead studios/dead franchises because of the absurd cost/risk of modern game development. Same with the 'DLC' thing. The companies aren't greedy like the consumer sees it, they just don't want to die.

I was downtown today and was bringing my boys to the Arcade...and it's gone:( it was like the last one, it even had a quarter peep Show in the basement. What the fuck is wrong with this crazy world? Am I supposed to go down to the megamoviefuckyouintheass complex now if I want to play some outdated Crusin USA or Jurassic park shoot the fuck out of dinosaurs game?
FML.

The Pizza Hut here in town still has an arcade room because it was built with one, it's an old PH from the 70s. There is really no space or need to try and renovate/change the interior on that property, so the room will stay there for a long time. It's all games from the 80s/90s, they don't put in anything new if they have to replace, they just get old games.

Soooo making the PS5 play all game discs would probably (maybe) increase sales ... My PS3 died a few months ago so I was thinking about buying a PS4 but didn't. I have a gazzilion game discs for PS3 that would be useless. So I bought another (used) PS3. If the PS5 would play all game discs I'd upgrade to a PS5 but now I didn't.

"Soooo making the PS5 play all game discs would probably (maybe) increase sales ..." Again, that's not happening unless they decide to release a second version of PS5 that is a lot more expensive, to accommodate this. (they won't) The PS5 would be a bloated price that wouldn't be good for them competitively, if they included older hardware in it, which is needed. That older hardware wasn't the uniform x86 PC like hardware like the PS4 is now. At the most, I could see Sony re-releasing a cheaper version of the PS3 original, which played PS1-3 games, and even then I highly doubt they'll put a disc drive in it. Why would they do that when they could get you to re-buy downloads of all your favorites? Sony does profit from PS1-3 games on their PS4 store. Downloads and streaming, like I said. ('Playstation Now' subscription) And they are just going to stick to that approach. They are going to make more money in the long run making people pay for streaming, to play old games rather than using discs forever. And of course, remasters and remakes of their biggest classics. These companies can't wait for discs to go away and have no interest in accommodating your discs.

So, for anyone that plays PC, it's starting to look like there is a future for Playstation exclusives to start going to PC. 2 exclusives (from non Sony studios) have gone to PC, and Death Stranding (also a non Sony studio) will also. But Horizon Zero Dawn, from a Sony owned studio is rumored to be as well as The Last of Us 2. It seems inevitable now, since MS/Xbox has been doing this (out of desperation). I would expect at some point Sony will announce the Playstation launcher/store for PC. There isn't really a battle between PC and consoles anymore (if there ever was), and as consoles move further into all downloads/streaming when it comes to games, it makes since to have them available to make money where they can. The 'PC gamers are just pirates' stigma has been melting away year by year, as sales of PC games only continue increase. And consoles don't use non-PC friendly, weird architecture anymore. (therefore the consoles face faster emulation by modders on PC) I've definitely been wanting this.
